Fist weapons and Claws

Kudos to Kirshtein for the origin of this post.

Fist weapons, small compact and fast striking, would be damn well awesome. My thoughts on this are that they would need to be medium attack speed (same as brandish default speed) and deal close to them in damage (slightly less). The attack pattern could consist of 5 attacks, the 3rd and 5th strike being more powerful. These fist weapons would be worn like a pair of gloves, and would respectively use both hands to attack. The attacks would go:

Left punch > Right punch > Left hand uppercut > Right punch > both hand uppercut (STOP > repeat)

The charge would be a single powerful punch, using the full force of the shoulder in the punch. This could knockback (deal stun status?) any enemy hit. This charge attack would have a fist aura around the punch, which improves the charges accuracy. The charge would have a massive damage stat compared to the regular strikes.

As for what damage types these could be, I suggest an elemental and shadow type, and a normal type as the base line.
The weapon line could go:

Spiral Gauntlets 3* > (Mighty) Cobalt Crushers 4* > Audacity 5* (Normal damage + Stun line) >Obtained from HoH Cobalt merchant<

| > Fiery Fists 4* > Darkfire Gauntlets 5* (Shadow damage + Fire line) >Obtained from 20(-4*) 35-(5*) Almirian tokens from Brink<
|
> *can't think of a name* > Gladiator's Gloves (Elemental damage + Stun line) >Obtained from HoH Cobalt merchant<

I can't think of descriptions for all of these, but here are a few:
Spiral Gauntlets - "Cobalt gloves design for delivering punishing punches to those who appose you."

Cobalt Crushers - "An upgraded pair of gauntlets, these have been studded with metal spikes for extra pain. Ouch..."
>
Audacity - "Legend says these gloves were worn by a man impudent enough to slap a king."

Fiery Fists - "These gloves have been laced with an unreasonable amount of Blaze Pepper. Should sting a lot."
>
Darkfire Gauntlets - "Once worn by Lord Vanaduke, these gloves whisper the flaming demise of their next victim." (Ties in with being achieved from FSC tokens)

As for Clawed weapons, I would have to say they would act more like Cutters. (Low damage, high DPS *speed) Much like the fist weapons, they would be duel wielded, and use both hands for the attack animations. (good luck with that...)

The attacks would be a series of 10(!) attacks, going:
Left slash > Right slash > Left Slash > Right Slash > 'X' shaped strike > Left Slash > Right Slash > Left Slash > Right Slash 'X' shaped strike (STOP > repeat) "these "Left, Right" stages would actually be dealt in one attack, instead of two, similar to how the cutter line has a ghost strike. So instead of being 10 attacks, it would be 6 attacks."

The charge would be 3 'X' strikes with the last dealing a shadow swipe, much like the cutter line of weapons.

I couldn't really think of any names for these, but I do like the sound of a Pierce damage Poison claws, and a Shadow damage Shock claws.

i like the ideas

I like how you thought the ideas, but i was wondering if we could combo the charge attack as part of a combo and continue the combo after doing the charge attack?

I feel sense these weapons have a reach disadvantage, it should have ability to combo there charge as a normal combo. So what i mean by this is after throwing one punch or even before throwing that one punch, we can charge our charge attack, then after using the charge attack, we can continue the combo as if it was a normal attack. This way, it will be hard for mele claw/fist fighters to get interupted during a combo.

Good point!

In saying that, I think that if the charge time was fast, the charges overall damage was still low, but higher than regular attacks, and after the charge you could just go straight back to punching things, that would work really well! :D It would make unarmed combat like a flowing dance of destruction. It could be balanced out where the charge is low, but the combo keeps flowing. and maybe for really big fist weapons, they could hold the charge for a longer duration to get more power into the punch. It would be awesome just imagining that. This game would suddenly transform into tekken or mortal combat or street fighter lol.

Besides that, we could have some fist weapons that after striking the enemy, they could have effects. like a punch that cariess six other punches in the hit or a punch that leaves a mark similar to the catalyzer and if we were to strike the enemy again within a short amount of time would cause that mark to pulse and grow and if we were to strike it 4 times in a very short amount of time would cause that mark to explode to cause huge damage. And charge attack hit would leave 4 to 5o of these marks on the enemy. The marks do no do damage until we strike it 4 or more times in a short period of time. so there would be a delayed effect to the weapon. This kind of weapon emphasizes combo attacks and repetative combo's without breaks. would be so awesome!
