He deals elemental damage, is weak to pierce, takes neutral from everything else aside from complete shadow immunity in stage six and slightly resistant to everything but normal in mask phase, sure he's not exactly a fiend, but he's much less like an undead

He's not undead because,

He's a cursed soul that's essentially been driven insane and enslaved by some weird magic. That sounds more like a fiend to me than an undead, seeing how I'm pretty sure apart from the fact we've killed him over 1,000,000 times altogether as a playerbase he's still alive. Just insane and possessed.

For the sake of accuracy, vanaduke has a completely distinct set of defences, as mentioned on this wiki page.
" Lord Vanaduke [...] has his own custom defenses:
180 normal
150 piercing
200 elemental
200 shadow
His mask has
150 normal
200 piercing, elemental, and shadow defense."
vana isn't a fiend. despite the game telling you he is, he has different resistances and comes from a different place. he's tecnically a cursed soul, which is a mix between undead and fiend I guess.
