Just thought of a possible suggestion, with a growing list of craftable gear pieces I've learnt through attaining recipes. Maybe you should provide a way where players can preview one anothers list of crafting, so they can view it themselves then enquire the person who has the recipe learnt already to help them craft that piece of gear.

On top of this, I suggest possible ways of linking gear pieces or recipes into chat via shift-clicking them whilst typing into chat.

These ideas aren't new, but are similar to World of Warcraft I play in terms of professions lol. See if you can adapt to produce something similar.
