Or does Tier 3 get all the compounds and Tier 1 never gets any?
When I see compounds in the gate map or the elevator, I think "I know which levels I'm going to skip/ speed run through"?
When I do end up in compounds, it's possible to get just 2 boxes per floor.
Or do compounds typically last longer than any other type of CW level?
Compounds were made specifically to waste time as opposed to making crowns?
Is It Just Me... ?
"Compounds were made specifically to waste time as opposed to making crowns?"
Theyre above par for crowns/heat, but tied for last on rarities (with graveyards). I find that clock tunnels tends to have a lot more walking around that just eats up playtime (but are well worth it for danger rooms).

No, I'm pretty sure they were made to hinder speedrunners, just as they now annoy radiant farmers. I avoid those levels (and the gates that contain those floors that consist of only Compounds or "?" floors with random Compounds) like the plague. >_>
Well let's go back to them just being in T2 and T3.
Do you think the game would be made worse to noob knights if they were included in T1? I mean there are T1 monster minies, but they didn't include them. Would new knights be turned off so much from playing the game, OOO knew they had to wait till later to include them?
I think the respawning monsters is too much for tier 1 players' "attack everything without shielding" mentality.
Not that tier 1 players ever play the arcade anyway, they get handed free tier 2 equipment before they've even fought their first boss.
Okay, next question.
Is it okay that gunner update armors start with 1* being bought at a vendor instead of a recipe?
I mean was this strategy specifically made to cut out UV farming? 3000 crowns for 1* adds up if you're UV farming.
If so, then why not already start with just the 2* recipes? It's not like there's a ton of other 2* UV'd items on AH anyways.
If gunner update armors physically started with 1* recipes, there'd be a plethora of UV'd items like no other set in game.
You could almost try to farm craft the specific UV you wanted like mist crafting back in the day.
Am I the only one who thinks this would have been a good idea?
Gunner Armors are far easier to get into as opposed to Gunslinger Armors, which are 16k a pop right off the bat. It doesn't block UV crafting at all, (certainly not as much as Gunslinger Sash and Cap) your ingredients cost 3,000 crowns more than other 2 star items, so you can sell your final product for 3,000 crowns more than other 2 star items.
I feel like that doesn't answer my question though.
Because you have to buy the 1* padded set for 3K each/6K total, that tacks onto the energy cost of buying orbs just to craft the 2* sets every time. Over time this adds up, and therefore there are less new gunner UV items on Ah.
Sure the old 3* gun armors don't have 2* parts, but wouldn't that have solved some problems if they did?
Over time this adds up
How does it "add up?" 2* Gunner armor has a 3k higher market price than other 2* armor, so you're getting back the price you paid for the Padded armor.
Of course, the increased crafting cost means you can have less armors in your stock buffer, (which is depending on your total wealth) but all this affects is how often you need to go refill your buffer, not how much money you make.
Tier 2 has compounds.
