The gremlins glanced at Aralon, but said nothing, only shaking their heads. They took a battery of physical measurements for both Aralon and Serah, weight, height, width, limb size, and such like. When they finished, they hefted Serah onto a stretcher and took her out, leaving Aralon alone.
One of the straps that held Aralon down was slightly frayed.
There was a vent in a corner of the room.
Gremlins were talking just outside the door.
Mundy sidestepped in surprise as his partner was riddled with spikes. To his further surprise, the poor soul survived that. "There! Shoot!" Chael said while poiting at the spikes' source. Whithout hesiation, Vakarian stepped out of the meteorite's cover and locked his sight with the big crimson-red shape he saw at the center of the mist.
Charging.
It's not moving....
Charging
Still not moving...
Fire.
*SPLAT*
It hit. Reloadi--
*CRASH!!*
The gelatinous brute charged out of the mist and straight into the meteorite, causing a shockwave that trew Mundy in the ground, along with his Magnus and its un-loaded bullet which both fell by Chael's side.
Getting up from the ram, Vakarian glanced at Chael for a split second before skirting around the rock, leaving him alone with the monster as it approached and attacked. Almost.
A carpet of flames lit up on the creature's back as a Fire Vial shattered in it's gelatinous skin, and now Mundy could be seen behind it holding a charged shot with his Blaster. The slime exposed it's spikeless rear-side for Chael as it rotated to Mundy, burbling with rage. Literaly.
"I can see you like fire better, uh?!"
The knight fired and rolled sideways as the creature charged again(despite the recoil it recieved from the shot) and hit one of those cubic stones. The slime brute tried turning around for another ram, but one of it's bigger spikes got stuck in the rock. Meanwhile, Chael's agony caught Mundy's attention again, but then he noticed his partner hadnt been injured criticaly, as the spikes only pierced the edge of his shoulder and lightly punctured a leg. Definitely not as damaging as a metal bar.
Not daring to put his gaze away from the beast, Mundy trew a red and white pill-like object at Chael. A Health Capsule.
