There no textures because there are no material maps.
How do I fix it?

I put the old 1.4 version
I put the old 1.4 version back on the spiralspy download page.
That's less than optimal since it has problems with some models, but I haven't had much luck figuring out what exactly broke in the 1.5 version so far.

I had this problem on my desktop, but not on my laptop. My desktop runs a GTX 660 Ti + i5 4570k and my laptop runs an Intel HD 4400 + Intel Core i5 4200U. Maybe that helps?

drivers?
What operating systems and drivers? That might help even more.
Edit: I mean the graphics drivers, for the GPU. And I don't know much about checking them on Windows.

Good point. Running Win 7 on both, Ultimate on the desktop and Professional on the laptop. Both are 64-bit. As for drivers, I'm not sure which ones you're referring to, nor am I very familiar with figuring out how to check drivers, tbh. At least I know my desktop is running GeForce 352.86 drivers for the GPU.
Use a previous version.
