I've recently come back to the game from a loooooong hiatus. And in spite of all of the changes that have been made
in that time, there's just one thing that DIDN'T change, and I'm really disappointed about it.

Trojans.

Can.

STILL.

Trap you in corners.

How this usually happens is that you'll be standing in or near a corner (or sometimes just ANYWHERE between the
corner and the Trojan), when suddenly the Trojan dashes at you and pushes you into it. Due to the size of its hitbox
and the fact that it has an unbreakable shield on the front, you can get stuck. And once you get stuck, you are DEAD.
There is literally nothing that can push him off of you. Suda charge? Blocked. Pulsar? Not enough range. Bombs?
Blocked again. Shield bash? Useless. If you're going solo, that is literally it. You just have to HOPE that after he kills
you the first time, he wanders off before you revive. So, here are a few suggestions on how this could be fixed.

1) Make the shield bash push the Trojan form the front, even if it doesn't stun or damage him.

2) Allow Trojans to be shield bumped EVER SO SLIGHTLY.

3) Or, better yet, make it so that if a Trojan hits a wall with his basic chop attack, it pushes him backwards.
That would make sense from both a gameplay and purely physical standpoint.

algorithms are the solutions to any problem.

you can dash out of the way.
yes, we now have a dash. check your input commands, default should be shift+ left click.

You are right. When the trojan stun locks us, there is no way to escape. I wont say the stun lock system is bad or anything. But after we die, the emergency revive cause knockback and stun, I believe, which doesnt affect the trojan, and our emergency revive is wasted.

......

You must be from the Prometheus school of running away from things......

Even if you are get stunned there is a way to keep it from attacking.

First off don't run in a straight line from it (you're not Indiana Jones)
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/OneDimensionalThinking

Even when stunned you can CIRCLE the Trojan and it will track you but won't attack till you stop moving around it.

Secondly you need to figure out how to deal with Trojans, once you figure it out they become a trivial problem

I completely agree!

I completely agree with the op. This is a gameplay mechanic that was wrongly designed. The same way fighting against a forest of ice status lumbers can lead to instant death if you get hit once, or how vana can trap you in a corner after charging you is the same way the trojan can kill you after locking you in a corner. All of these things are instant k.o to a new player and should not be that way from my perspective.

We should be able to fight against these unescapable situations by using either our shields or balance it out where the player has a chance to escape using skill. It should not be that we have to constantly avoid that situation just so we can prove we are skilled experience players. What would make us skilled is for us to be trapped in that situation, yet the programers created a way we can get out of that situation and we as players take advantage of that programmed escape route and free ourselves. That is what would trully show that we are skilled. There really should not be an instant death pit/situation as this is a skill base game and instant death pit holes are an old gane design mechanic.
