For a gamepad, what should I use for facing?

I might be getting a controller, but I don't know what facing layout is better for me.
I normally use a keyboard and mouse, and I use guns and mostly swords.

So for facing, should I use...
1. Left Analog stick, with strafe
or
2. Right Analog stick

I wouldn't know what to tell you because it's all personal preference. Try both of the mappings you have listed and see what works, but remember that you have mappings for movement too.

I use left analog stick for movement and right for facing.
