this may sound a bit off but im trying to make the best: gremlin king outfit there is. i need a few more pieces for it, but the main thing thats my biggest concern is the darkfang shield i want it so bad but i have no actual idea how to find one im willing to grind for weeks but what if i do that and ive been doing it all wrong does anyone have some answers (been grinding deconstruct zones and iron edge arenas wrench warfare) so help me pls give me tips explain how to do it

how about a group project with my guild or something
ive seen a node where a guy tried to form a group to grind all together but for some reason they didnt finish is that stll an option

Still very unlikely.
We don't have anything pointing towards an exact "omg this is how you get one!" since there are so few darkfang shields in the game. Forming a group to grind one out will likely end with headache, as we have hundreds of runs daily from all across the globe, and over 4 years only ~7 of these shields have been found.
You'd be better off spending your time grinding black kats for the duration of this event, and selling all the rewards for them, then trying to find an owner of a darkfang shield and trying to buy it off them. Good luck finding one of the 7(?) owners though, and of them one up for selling it.

He's referring to this thread where a large group of players strategically deposited minerals to form continuous gremlin stages.
This isn't an option any more because we're no longer able to deposit minerals. Players were using some of their minerals to feed their sprites and just depositing the other two types. This led to rampant freeze and fiend themed levels in every arcade gate, and eventually the mineral deposits were removed.

Even if you'd find one of the owners, I doubt they'd be selling the DFS.
I happen to know one of them and since he is a collector there is no money for which he would trade it away.

I would not even attempt this. Think of it this way:
Let's assume that the rumor that fayeth either bought/sold his DFS for 300k E is true. 300k E is approximately $600. That's 73 hours. Ultimately you would be paying in time rather than money, since spending 73 hours at min wage is better than spending 52 straight days of doing vanaduke (paying is a win-win honestly). And vanaduke is guaranteed money. If you take into account the total number of hours that every player has played SK levels where a shield could drop, and find out the drop percentage per unit time, you'd realize that it is a fools errand essentially.
Also, I wouldn't be surprised if OOO stealth-patched the DF shield away and reduced the drop rate to 0, since they were only found during the beginning time in SK, which is rather suspicious. Unless a GM clearly states that currently the DF shield can still drop, it is safe to assume that you will not find one.
Now watch as someone runs a gremlin level and finds one and posts it here, making me look like a complete $#%^

Dark Fang shields have, historically, dropped from treasure boxes in late game. I believe some were found in Decon zones, but one was even found in Firestorm Citadel.
From what I remember, there are only 7 or so darkfang shields in existence... Over the course of 4 years now. It's not an item that can be, well, grinded out like black kats can be. You're more likely to find a book of dark rituals this event than that shield over the course of several years.
Probably not a reasonable dream sadly, unless they get stuck into a promo sometime.
