Here's an idea. What if there was a bomb that was able to be "charged" up to three times for maximum power?
Here's how it works:
You place a bomb down. It makes a circular area of effect. Unlike other bombs, the area of effect is just a ring that is not timed yet, meaning it is not a timed bomb. This is a remote control bomb.
Once you place the bomb down, you have two options:
- To detonate the bomb as it is
- To charge the bomb
Here's where the area of effect comes in.
If your knight is on the area of effect, and your knight "attacks" or uses the charge/attack/action button (Z or Right-click for default), the bomb will detonate (no hold). Now, if your knight is off of the area of effect, the bomb can be charged for increased damage, status effects, and the circumference of the entire area of effect will be increased. To charge the bomb, hold the charge/attack/action button. By holding the button, you will charge your remote control, just like you charge any other weapon. After it is done charging, let go.
After letting go, the bomb will charge to stage 2. Now, you can detonate the bomb as is, or continue its charging process. To finish the charging, hold your charge/attack/action button to charge your remote control (you must be OUT of the area of effect to charge the bomb). The moment you let go after your remote control has finished charging, the bomb will be in Stage 3. You may no longer charge. As a result, the bomb will automatically detonate once you finish charging your remote control and letting go.
I hope you understood that.
Updated There is no diffuse time for the bomb (so if you don't charge the bomb, and decide to detonate it right away, it won't go through any time, but rather it will detonate right away).
To not charge the bomb all the way, go inside of the area of effect and hit the charge/attack/action button once (no hold).
This creates an interesting mechanic and tactic to bomb use.
Note that once you switch your bomb to another weapon during any part of the charging process, the bomb will automatically detonate.
In my opinion too OP
