Hello all,
I am by no means new but I have never done a shadow lair before, yet thanks to my grinding the possibility has finally emerged on the distant horizon.
I have looked on youtube and can't find videos of SGWW, SIMG, or SFSC regarding after the pet/spark update.
I was wondering if whether there have been any changes to the enemies in the shadow lairs since that update or if they are still the same.
I was also wondering what armors and weapons I should use and how many sparks I should expect to use in the worst case scenario.
I main bomber and don't see that and questioning my career choice for shadow lairs and if so what would be better to learn guns or swords.
and what pets are the best to have.

I don't know, but my guess would be no changes. Maybe someone else will chime in.

Have you read the wiki page Shadow Lair? It tells you all of the threats, so that you can plan your armor and weapons. If you'd like something even more explicit, then check out the relevant section of my armor guide.

Well, there's no limit, and it depends somewhat on your party's equipment and skill, whether anyone in your party has done the Shadow Lair already, etc. With an experienced player you can breeze through with no Sparks of Life used. I would say that you should have at least 10 Sparks of Life.

It depends on the Shadow Lair. Haze bombs can be extremely effective in the SRJP. Probably not so much in SIMF.
Sorry, I feel that all of my answers are "it depends". One general tip I can give you is that Shadow Lair rooms tend to be tightly constrained, so that you don't have much room to maneuver. That can be very bad for bombers. You need to have lots of CTR, to get your bombs off.

The sprites in this game are pretty balanced in general. In highly dangerous situations I tend to like seraphynx the best, for shielding and spreading hearts around. Drakon's firestorm could get you out of a few scrapes.
