I have a Macbook Mini hooked up to a tv and i usually play Spiral Knights through there. How come it works on there but it won't work on my Macbook Pro? Am i missing a plug-in or something? Just curious.

yes

Yes, you can play Spiral Knights on a wide variety of Macs.

If there is some incompatibility on one of your machines, it is probably about the version of Java installed. Try doing a Google search for something like "spiral knights mac java version". You'll find resources like this, which may help.

When you say that it doesn't work on that one machine, what do you mean? Are you trying to launch it from the web browser? Have you tried downloading the stand-alone client? Or are you using Steam? What exactly happens when you try to launch Spiral Knights?

And keep checking this thread for a while, because someone will show up with more specific advice. Good luck. :)

I use a macbook pro retina

I use a macbook pro retina 13"

All I have to do is launch it from the website and it works. The stand alone client is weird since it seems less stable with internet connection from my experience.

If you could provide more detail I could probably help you more

@Bopp

I've been trying to launch it from the downloaded client. I'm not sure what the exact message says, but I think it says that I'm missing some plug-in. I haven't tried it from the web version yet though, so I'll try that like he said. Thank you!

hmm

Plug-in problems should arise when you run the client through the web browser, more than when you run the client stand-alone. That's weird.

If the problem returns, try telling us exactly what the error message is, and what application is giving you that error message (that is, what name is next to the Apple menu in your menu bar).

I hope all goes well.
