Guns in the Static Flayer line fire 5 bolts of lightning that randomly land somewhere in a 3-tile diameter circle around the targeted monster. On average, only 2 or 3 actually connect with the target, making these guns less useful for attacking single enemies but more useful against large swarms. The guns in the Static Striker line lock the player in lace while they are fired, similar to the guns in the Autogun line. All of the guns deal pure Elemental damage and have a Good chance of causing Medium shock on monsters they hit.

Standard attack: Rapidly fires 5 bolts of lightning that randomly land somewhere in a 3-tile diameter circle around the targeted monster, followed by a lengthy reload. If no target is selected, the bolts land on the floor at the maximum range of the gun.

Charge attack: Fires a single large bolt of a lightning that causes a large, Polaris-like explosion on the floor, damaging and possibly shocking all of the monsters nearby. If no target is selected, the bolt lands on the floor at the maximum range of the gun.

Pros:

Area of effect damage.
Chance of inflicting shock on targets.
Almost instantaneous "bullet" speed.

Cons:
Short range (Around 4/5ths of a Valiance)
Poor accuracy and damage to single targets.

2* Static Flayer

3* Shocking Flayer

4* Lightning Flayer

hmm

Why not make for every monster that is inflicted witht the shock status, the gun's normal shots that land on that monster would create another bullet for the gun to fire. So if you were to fire at a monster with the shock status and all 5 bullets land on that monster, then you would be able to fire 5 more making the guns clip fire 10 bullets for that one round. i feel this would be balanced.

I like your idea blandaxt, another shot from each bullet having hit an enemy, especially because we have These which often appear in groups
