Lockdown, allow respawn at team points

When the death timer is still ticking, the player should be able to toggle between the locker room and every capture point his/her team controls. At the end of the timer, the respawn occurs at the selected spawn point. If the selected spawn point is captured/decaptured at any time before the respawn, the location defaults to the locker room.

Benefits:
-Adds a new element of strategy to the game. Spawning at unexpected places can throw your opponents off. There is now a distinct benefit to decapturing points.
-Makes spawn camping is much harder, especially if the camping team is negligent about captures.
-Makes sense. Taking a point is supposed to make it your territory. It should do more than just give you points.

Hmm.

I like part of the idea, at the same time I feel like it would cause more outrage.

There are both pros and cons to it, I'll try to outline all of them I can think of real quick:

    Pros
  • Spawn-camping counter
  • More weight to capturing points
  • Gets recons and guardians into the fight quicker
  • Cons

  • Makes strikers instantly able to get back to the fight when they already have the speed advantage
  • New points can be spawn-camped by damage seekers
  • Makes the game too fast paced - needs to have down time to allow for solo caps
  • Enemies can spawn on top of you while you are capturing a point
  • Other team can spectate points before they spawn and know if an invisible recon is capping it
  • Neutral

  • Cannot change classes, so you're locked into a playstyle until you return to the locker room
  • Still have to retreat back to the locker room for health
  • Cannot change loadouts without running back to the locker room

I would recommend that the points need to be fully captured to one team in order to allow them to spawn on it. This means if an enemy player walks on it even for a few seconds then your team cannot spawn there until someone on your team walks over it and gets it back to full. I would also say when you first spawn you have 5 seconds of invulnerability, but you cannot use your class shield during that time. You also cannot spectate your spawn point until you physically spawn, following the player who killed you until you spawn, or the point you were spawning at is taken. Additionally, I would say you can only choose a spawn point once per life, thus if the point you were going to spawn at is no longer valid, you are forced to the locker room, even if you decided you want to spawn at a different point.
