Endgame

As we all really know, guild halls are pretty bare. Besides your own personal alchememy machine and a pretty view of gears n' steampunk machinery, what else is in the guildhall?

Here is a few ideas I have brainstormed. Feel free to critque.

Your guildhall starts with a few new things:

1: A teleport to the arcade, probably on the upper wing.
2: On the bottom right wing, two vaults: One has a crowns spray painted on it, the other the energy symbol. Each is ran by an imposotocube: The crown vault is ran by Edgar, the energy vault is ran by Allen.
3: 5 pillars in the the left ring that are strangely bare...
4: Snipes.

Now, lets get down to number 2 on that previous list; the vaults. Depositing the vaults respective currency unlocks more stuff for your guildhall, making your guildhall much more of an awesome place and having some advantages. When you deposit something, however, you can't take it back! Be careful and plan your investments.

Ideas for rewards:

Crown vault:
5,000 crowns opens what looks like a recon module near the entrance to the hall. However, instead of projecting what looks like a playing card (is that what it is?!) it projects a speech bubble. Examine it, and you are brought to a UI shoutbox/news feed. When you post a message, it leaves your name and rank, along with a message. Use this to keep track on whats going on!

25,000 crowns changes the pillars I mentioned earlier; They now have plaques and are made of different materials.
-Copper displays a plaque that, when read, says all the members of the guild who are recruits.
-Copper/Silver has the "members" plaque
-Silver displays the "veteran" plaque
-Silver/Gold displays the "officer" plaque
-And finally, the gold pillar has the guildmaster plaque.

60,000 crowns gets you the Guild Outfitter! Similar to a fast food restraunt that serves delicous yet greasy treats, he has a window near the guildie pillars. he has a variety of trinkets that, instead of giving you resistances, instead buff your weaponry for the most part. The buff isn't very strong, though... something to be imprved on later, perhaps?

100,000 crowns gets you the boombox! Located near the Guild outfitters window, when interacted with, it starts playing a spiral knights track of your choosing- no fee! The closer the boombox you are, the more you can hear it. Endgame has the urge to dance!

120,000 builds a dormant gate! Determinethe guild elevators stratums- when you get one. It also seems incabalbe of recieving power fluxes, so no boss dungeons... yet. It appears as a normal dormant gate, buta bit smaller and with a copper tint... Located on the top wing, to the right of the small balcony. Now, you just need an elevator and a mining permit.

160,000 brings forth the dormant Gate 2.0.! Guildmasters can cause power fluxes, creating boss stratums. Its slightly enlarged, and now given a silver paint job. Classy. (The "no two stratums in one tier rule" is not applied in this dormant gate, meaning you can knock yourself out and make an all shock gate. Not reccomended- perhaps a jelly gate?)

Energy Vault goodies:

200 energy: Lights are booted up, making the guildhall brighter.

600 energy creates a window to the left of the Guild outfitter window: It is a pawn shop, ran by the Konjuring Kat! He pays far more than the vendors do for sold items, meaning that royal core is worth more than 75 crowns to this man. great if you just wish to unload your goodies.

1,000 energy creates an elevator! This elavator allows you to dive to up to the end of tier 2 before having to go up. You need a mining permit from the game warden to use it though. Located on the balcony.

1,400 energy makes the rusting brown floors a shiny silver! Like the dormant gate 2.0.: Classy.

2,100 energy brings forth the Elevator Deluxe! This exact model is used in the arcade. Allows you to delve to your hearts content- you need a Gold permit to use it though... That game warden is really getting on my nerves.

Also, although there isn't a vault for this, if you get a certain amount of CE and crowns, stuff happens.

7,500 crowns and 300 energy scores you some mats and shmancy draperies. On the far left side of the left wing, there are paint jar spawners. Pick em up and chuck them at your new decor to recolor them. Guild masters can lock the color of certain mats and draperies if they choose.

18,000 crowns and 550 energy gets you a miners permit, allowing you to use your dormant gate and elevator, allwoing you to go as deep as Tier 2.

42,000 crowns and 900 energy gives you the token vault, ran by an imposotocube named Poe. It is located with its other vault brethren. We'll get into this one later...

75,000 and 1,250 energy gives the Guild Outfitter a chance to shine with the Outfitter expansion! Instead of doing business in a window, he has a small shop stationed inside the wall. he deals better trinkets now. He also stocks what Boost does, but with a discount price. No more paying 800 energy for a silly heat amplifier!

140,000 crowns and 1,600 energy grants you the Gold permit! Now, if you have the elevator deluxe, you can dive deep to the core. Life is good.

Now, before I mentioned the third vault- the token vault. As the name implies, this vault contains tokens- you can get all sorts of goodies for depositing tokens in here.

Boss tokens yeild boss statues, located near the entry. Put in 60 of a boss token to get the a boss token statue, along with a congradualatory message emitng from it when examined. 60 jelly gems gives you a royal jelly statue, for example.

The other 3 varities- Primal, Forge, and grim generate pets.

60 primal sparks generates a green jelly pet, that squelches about in the hall. You do, however, have a chance of getting a Soul jelly while doing this- It's rare, though!

60 Forge sparks creates a friendly chromalisk, who waddles about in the hall. If you get lucky, you instead get a scuttlebot, with two slots on its head. Watch the scuttlebot for long enough, and you can see it's sercret ability: it doubles as a toaster!

60 grim sparks makes a yesman, who walks around the hall. get lucky, and you'll get an Affection Greaver, who zips around the hall, not hurting a soul.

You can have more than one type of pet. Feel free to have 10 jellies jiggling about.

And that concludes this lengthy post. if you have any comments on this, please post.

I like it

I like it. Matter of fact, I suspect that most of what you mentioned is in the works. But if OOO were to implement this or something like it they'd probably multiply the numbers of crowns and CE by 5 or so (you heard it here first).

About the pets...

I was hoping to see something involving a wolver. As much as I hate them ingame, they're the closest thing SK has to a canine. I suggested having tamed monsters as pets that follow your character and evolve. By evolve, I mean they change into a subspecies(pets also give small boosts) of the respected creature. It depends on what you feed your pet. So, if I feed my pet wolver, Patches, thunder aligned food, he will turn into a voltail. Then an alpha voltail.

Agree plus pet augment

I agree with all of this but as Vash said those numbers are far to low and will be dramatically increased. As for the pets I do agree with Aura but it would have to limit how many people could come with you and you'd have to buy an item to tame pets. But that's getting 0out of the range of being guild direct related. To connect it allow the guild to eventually get a pet hall where you can store your pet and watch them play with other members pets. How cute would it be to watch my pet wolver paw at another guild members pet lichen.

I really like what you've

I really like what you've laid out, but I also agree with CorianWornen in that the prices aren't perfect. I think something beyond just Crown and energy payments needs to be implemented for some of the perks, just because it's too easy for a single wealthy player to blow through and unlock everything. I think my Guild could likely unlock everything in a single go with the current outline if we combined resources. There should be some link to the guild's collective playing achievement.

The real positive side to this is that it gives the Guild Hall more aesthetic appeal and gives more motivation to be in a guild at the same time. Many of what you've said have been suggested in parts, just never well though out in one single post.

almost perfect

the only thing i'd like to see that i didn't seem to find is a materials vault/"bank" and/or a intra-guild auction house. i the guild hall needs to be more functional as well as artistic, but i like the reward system. use that to "Buy" more parts to the hall.

This keeps coming up, and

This keeps coming up, and yeah, I think it's likely Three Rings are working on it; the Guild Hall as it stands are so clearly unfinished, and so clearly set out to accept upgrades, that it'd be more surprising if it doesn't happen. But I personally don't want it to be another CE sink, particularly for cosmetic elements like brighter lights and shinier floors; I'd strongly prefer CE to exclusively be for stuff that directly affects gameplay, namely equipment and revives.

Specialist vendors that overpay for stuff skews the game against people who don't want to join Guilds, which I think would be a shame. I mean, I'm not one of them, but I do think players that choose to remain unaffiliated with another group shouldn't be denied tangible player-enhancing privileges. Same goes for Guild-only lifts; what you're cooking up there is a recipe for abuse. You give a group of people an elevator that only they can configure and use, and what you get is a deserted Arcade and every clan in the game doing JK runs, forever - particularly if you remove the stratum theme restriction.

I'm with Effrul on this one

Like he said, Guilds shouldn't have things that gives players actual advantages in the game that non-guild players can't access. CE should also be limited to what is only to be used to play the game, not for decoration. I'd rather invest my real-life money on getting that Vog Cub and beating Lord Vanaduke than setting up a banner in the guildhall.

I think the elevator idea has promise, but maybe not in the same fassion as the OP.
What the elevators could do is set up a training hall to improve the guild members' ability to work together. It could create a one tier long dungeon that costs nothing to use, has no rewards in it, and no fees to revive if fallen. The stratums could be edited by inserting a certain amount of minerals for each stratum and can later on be switched around by Guild Masters and Officers. I imagine 10 of each mineral should suffice to activate the theme and elevator stock will not be consumed and can be moved around between active and inactive to set the theme. Whether or not it should allow you to simulate bosses can be debated. Maybe if you insert tokens earned by their respective boss. You'll also be limited if you haven't obtained clearance for higher tier simulations.

All in all it's a simulation chamber that holds no reward for expeditors and is merely for practice purposes.
