This has been bothering me for some time now and after seeing their relaunch of the Solstice Promotion I have to say that it's quite disappointing to see the possibility of getting UV Tickets are quite high... Which is a really bad thing given the fact that the purchase of a box requires real currency.

Converting UV tickets into real money assuming that you are going off of the $10 Energy Bundle and that 8k Crowns is the conversion rate:

A single 1UV Ticket is the equivalent to about $0.80USD.
A single 2UV Ticket is the equivalent to about $3.00USD.
A single 3UV Ticket is the equivalent to about $9.00USD.

Now this means that whenever you buy a Solstice Box you have a 68% chance of getting an overpriced UV ticket... This seems wrong and unfair to the user as it was a bit more acceptable back when boxes used to be bundled with Energy.

Basically, include two boxes to the players:

An Energy related Box: Gives the current chances and comes bundled with Energy bundles. Helps promote and stabilize the Energy Market.
Direct Transaction Box: Gives modified chances that do not involve the UV Tickets as a drop. Option to give access to cosmetics if the player wishes so.

Or you know. Just not include them in boxes.

I support the energy market by trading my CR for CE but I'd rather not start gambling on boxes

Yup.

Really, the solstice and equinox boxes just need to be bundled alongside energy, much like spiralhorns were. This makes happier customers overall, as the boxes are a bonus and not the centerpoint of the purchase.

If we buy energy and get two 1UV tickets, we're alright. If we buy energy and get two sunshine auras, more power to us. If we buy 5 boxes for $20 and get 5 1UV tickets... You can be sure people will be upset.

Double-promos (one through boxes, other through energy purchases... or supply depot, switch it every promo) would be great. If the art team isn't too busy, it'd get more interesting things in the game. I'm fine with some more reskins (i.e. splash sets) in promo colors, or even returning old promo boxes (i.e., storm, surge, hunter...) to make buying into promos in this game fun.

I'd like to see some new weapon lines released with promos like that.

Solar Blast
Basically an irontech bomb with moderate fire instead of stun

Winter Gasp
Basically a Gilded Griffon with weak Freeze instead of Fiend bonus

Simple slight branches off current weapon lines would be fun and these weapons could also be handed out in the boxes but thanks to there being recipes the F2P community would still be able to get in on it. Just release the recipes to Basil a month later.

My friends and I also really dislike tickets in boxes (they even refuse to play during these promos sometimes). Just take tickets out of the pool entirely - put the tix on the supply depot for some logical amount of energy, and have boxes bundled with energy...tah dah. This solves the problem for people who don't like tickets as well as people who like tickets - balanced economics. Suddenly we have a promo where UVs are connected to energy as well as crafting/crowns, giving more players more options - whatever is convenient for your wallet+time.

Adding more summer/winter things to the box would be great.
