What if there could be a damage table at the end of every level which will be similar to Lockdown. It could show the number of times you killed and got killed. It would show your damage you did in the whole level.

There are several levels with respawning enemies players could easily farm these spawn points for lots of points

algorithms are the solutions to any problem.

there's no point adding it, since you aren't intended to do arcade runs or missions with the intention of doing the most damage.

It's pretty standard for games to have things like these, though they do tend to distract from actual goals sometimes.

It is amusing data. I would enjoy having such a thing. If people want to see how many respawning things they can defeat before getting bored, fine. It might also be useful for counting the general population of an area, or type of spawn, and how often/many compared to other monsters, and areas, over several runs (because some areas spawn different things from a pool each time you encounter them). This would be very useful for new areas and data collectors.

It would also be useful to study efficiency. Yeah, I would be all for this. I love tools.

After hating on this idea for 3+ years, I've changed my mind. I would love to see how much I'm dealing with particular weapons, so I can optimize my loadouts and playstyles.
Though it shouldn't just track damage dealt, but also things like damage taken, damage blocked, ticks of aggro held, statuses inflicted, accuracy and deaths.
Also there should definitely be options to hide your statistics to reduce blatant damage discrimination.

For the sake of research yes it would be nice to have, l still don't think that it would be wise to let the players see which weapons deal the most damage since this would reduce the number of items getting crafted to just a select few.

"Reduce"? How? How can you possibly reduce the only four weapons that are ever crafted (for the purpose of damage) down further?

The table would show the

The table would show the total amount of damage we did. We cant figure out what weapons do how much damage.

It'd be neat to see but I feel like it would breed even more competition between everyone... if I went on a run with Hexzyle and she got more damage hits than me she would be the spiral knightliest of us all and I would cry. Not that it wouldn't work. Maybe forcing us all to compete for damage points would be a good thing, somehow.

It would also further downplay the support class weapons..... Sure the Haze bomber isn't going to be doing massive damage to Vanaduke but that doesn't make him any less valuable.

The guardian isn't going to be doing much damage but if he's holding back the monsters so you can safely get a charge attack ready he's being useful.

Some things just can't be put into numbers.

+1, some statistics would be nice to have. Sure, haze bombers will probably not get a number for them, but Guardian-style knights could. Damage taken (before shield hp or defense is taken into account) will show who has tanked the most damage, he doesn't necessarily have to lose HP for that number to increase.

Damage dealt, damage tanked and perhaps time spent on the run would be cool statistics to have at the end. Some score that keeps track how many of each monster you have ever killed (not just of that run) would be nice too. And continuing on that, how about some achievement you can earn, that requires you to kill a 1000 monsters consecutively (over the course of many different runs obviously) without losing your revive or so?

Err...

In a PvE game, does it matter how much damage you deal? You all are acting like those dealing the most damage are going to start rubbing it in our faces, and what that does is makes our ignore list grow so we don't have to deal with those sort of people anyways.

This sort of addition is not needed for sure, however it wouldn't hurt. I would say, however, that it be a personal stat only. You can view your "last run statistics" via a tab on your player. You can brag to other players if you have full inspect on with proof to back it up.
Tracking overall stats might be a bit too much, however at the same time it might be helpful to Three Rings as well adding this sort of thing in to the players so they can use it for balance and whatnot.

Again, scoreboards would be bound to the player and per run. A lifetime statistic might be okay too, even if it is a bit more complicated (last run data could be a temp folder anyways, deleting once you log off. This would save server space if it is needed).

Things I can see being included in a personal scoreboard include:

  • Damage dealt
  • Monsters killed
  • Statuses inflicted
  • Statuses resisted
  • Monster most killed
  • Time while inflicted by status
  • Damage received
  • Damage resisted
  • Damage blocked
  • Favorite weapon
  • Favorite battle sprite ability
  • Deaths

Overall, if done correctly this would help sciencey players, statisticians, and Three Rings even for keeping track of things. It would also make those players who love to brag about their scores be eternally locked in full-inspect on, thus making UV advantages aware at the same time. Players who are quieter anyways and have full inspect off will not have to worry about a high or low performance, and thus becoming a center for attention.

Nice.^ this doesnt

Nice.^ this doesnt neccessarily mean that people will compare everything with each other. They will someday get used to it.

Very nice idea Fangel

Can't wait for that huge update and don't want to see those bugs that makes those completed scores complicated. Anyways there issues on the Overall scores on the people who joined late or you joined late. Being removed from the party Totally erases your Overall completion score, so rejoining would not be a good idea
