So here I am typing a good 2-3 paragraph response to something and when I go to post it tells me I am not authorized to do this. So I go back and all I typed is gone. This has happened quite a few times and I find it extremely annoying, seriously I just posted a few minutes ago and for some reason it logs me off and I lose about 15-20 minutes worth of typing.

If it says that you're not logged in at the top but you can still access the posting stuff, it's a good idea to log in again before posting. Also, the back button is your friends (provided your browser also saves input fields).

Even if it does, its worthless if the input field no longer exists. You lose the text and there's no way to retrieve it AFAIK. (I haven't tried logging back in, and then navigating all the way back again, that may work)
Yes, the log in link returns when you're about to be logged out. It's fine to read threads at that point, but it's unwise to start writing walls of text.

Whenever I'm unauthorized or something it will still allow me to see my previous post. I'll just copy what I wrote, log in, then paste it to continue.
I use Chrome if that's of any help.

Chrome caches the previous page, but sometimes it drags the "not logged in anymore: no more text entry box" back with you, so when you go back, your comment has gone along with the box it was entered into, since it's javascript or something.
Whenever I write something long on a forum I copy and paste it into a document every minute or so.
I suggest you try doing that.
I believe it says "Access Denied"? That happens to me sometimes.
the forum always logs me out every 24 hours. I made an habit to check the time before I post.
