I just got this idea today: Tournaments. They could be held hourly and they would be split up into the three different tiers, to avoid unfairness. If you win a tournament, you could get unique recipes, weapons, armor, etc., that can only be found by winning a tournament. There could also be another tournament where it is monster verses monster and you have to bet on a monster who you think is going to win, which you'll receive crowns depending on how much you bet.
To avoid the same knight winning over and over again, you have to wait a certain amount of time before you can enter into another one. And to avoid super long or super short tournaments, there can only be a total of 32 users per tier.

Well the reward should not be a gear. That is OOO's main revenue. It should be something like sprite food, a usable, some mats, or some crowns.
The monster versus monster thing is not a bad idea, though i think we should make it more that players can vote on which monsters would fight. This way, a desired match up can be reached.
