I know a lot of people on here have alternate accounts that they use to post online. They will use names vastly different than their main account name to remain anonymity.

My question is to those whose forum name is identical to their main account name with just something like "Forum" attached to it.
Why would you do this?

It's not to remain anonymous since it is quite obvious who you are. I just don't see a point, why not just use your regular name since you don't seem to care about people knowing who your knight is?

Not just that

I'm pretty sure it's also so that when you say something stupid on the forums you shouldn't say, people will only be able to report your alt. That way you can keep paying on your main without getting a warning or a ban.

Wouldn't OOO just have to look up the name without forum in it, and just ban it's too? Just use a different name altogether and they won't be able to notice who you really are.

Nope don't think so, they have no 'official' proof the knight and it's alt are linked to each other, even though they might know who you are. Also I could just as easily make a knight called something like Red-Galaxy-Forums and start making some horrible posts, OOO wouldn't ban you because they can never know for sure wether it is actually you or someone else.

A lot of players play through Steam. This adds a pretty annoying part to the login process.

Instead of typing in your username and pass and clicking log in, you must first go to Steam and do this
Steam supports being persistently logged in but it's not available from the login authorisation page which the SK forums login leads to. As such, to auto-login through Steam you have to go to open steamcommunity.com on your own, login and check "keep me signed in" and then go back to the SK forums login process.
If you haven't logged in on a PC with Steam before, you'll need to authenticate through a mail. This can be a slow process and adds another step of opening a new page and login. You might even have an extra step on that, such as mobile verification for google accounts. Doing this step is also not a very good idea on public PCs.

I'd use an alt but given that I (Krakob) been posting on this account for three years, I'd split my post history and all, which I'd rather not.

This helps clear up my confusion, it isn't an issue of remaining anonymous but rather an issue of what is the easiest way to log in. I connect my account straight from the SK website and not some other source like Kongragate or Steam so I don't have any troubles logging in quickly.

I just use a forum alt because it's a pain to login to the forums with a steam account.

And by pain, I mean one or two more clicks.

Im serious that's not me doing it I would never call a game I played for years "stupeed" even as some stupid, which is the correct way of spelling it, joke.

When in my time here in the forums have I used this kind of talking? Where I misspell everything.

Is it possible to destroy a guild?

Lately I've been at war with an enemy knight who has been looking for a chance to destroy my guild. I don't even know if thats possible, the knight also claims to have a "virus" in his possetion which can do this. In my personal opinion I think it is a hacking method she has. The knight's name is **** she has been threatening me and my friends that she will destroy my guild "when the seed grows" (a riddle that she gave me). I manage to fight her off but I can no longer do it alone since now she has two guilds halping her meaby more her guild is Final-Howl. PLease Game Masters help me!!! You can contact me my most frequently used knight is Siegfrost please help me I beg you I have no way to stop her and Ive tryed talk to her HELP!!!

Perhaps she has infiltrated your guild on an alternate knight, and is working her way up to Officer, which will then do damage such as spending all of the treasury's crowns, removing rooms from the guild hall, removing all guild members, etc.

Holy-Nightmare is right that you should not name this person on the forums, but rather take up the issue with the game moderators.

That's actually reason in favor of both of you being the same person, since you're talking to yourself you wouldn't want people to know you're the same person. Also compound the badly staggered posts, very timely replies, coincidental devotion to a thread, and the high probability of an alt being created at some point due to you having a high ego and/or strong community presence.

My alt wasn't created yesterday: Obvious alt is obvious.
