A simple suggestion
I was thinking of a way we can share health pills and remedies. Why not make it that if a player is nearby or at the same spot as another player when using a remedy or pill, they will also receive the same effect. For remedies, they would receive the exact effect and be cured of any status. For pills, they would only receive 50% of the total amount of health that was healed by the player who used it.
This means if a player that used the pill was healed only 6 pips of health, the player nearby only gets 3 pips of health. But if the player that used the pill was healed 18 pips of health, the player nearby would be healed 9 pips. This would allow us to share a little bit of the effects we have in our inventory when it comes to aid.
But this also means that is a player is not hurt, it would not heal that nearby player at all sense a player cannot use a pill unless their hurt. So i also was thinking why not make it that if a player is nearby and is hurt, we can use the pill and it would at least heal 10% to 20% of their total health added to their current health. This way, we can still aid our teammates even without the old action where we could drop our pills.
Ideas similar to this has been posted before here.
I thought of reading one of your long threads once...... I didn't make it

Anywho this is an interesting idea, it would work fairly well but I would certainly downplay the team healing a bit. How about if you use a large HP capsule and there would have been hp left over (i.e. you are down by 5 but your pill restores 8) then the excess Hp would be dropped on the ground.
This way allies can't complain about you not waiting till they get near to heal or you not sharing your HP pills.
As for the remedy pill it could work like a small haze similar to the Silkwing death. This haze would linger for a bit longer and would work like the green space at the wells in the second floor of FSC (If you didn't know you can instantly recover from fire if you walk into it while statused. Note: It doesn't prevent status though)
