Should I be scared for Rise of Knights?

While I like the idea of Spiral knights getting more attention, I had a thought...

What if this ends up like those cases where people get addicted to a phone game and keep throwing money at it? Wouldn't that make them focus on the mobile game and let Spiril Knights die?

Rise of Knights and Spiral Knights are clearly very different in many ways. I doubt Rise of Knights will have any impact on SK's playerbase at all. If it does, I'd guess because the game gets popular and gets a few people interested in SK. Besides, people who get addicted and use all their money on mobile games are very very few.
