Ever since I have been unable to level up my 5 star gear, it's become a bit boring in Spiral Knights. Sad to say, because I really do like this game. But I have no way to progress without either farming the heck out of my life, or spending huge sums of money to level my gear.
I have like 10 or more 5 star recipes waiting to be crafted, and another dozen that I would like to craft. But heating 20+ 5 star items sounds more or less impossible at this point...
Sad day. Anyone else with me on this?
Well, I do see why OOO decided to make them so scarce: They wanted people to have to work or buy radiants to have over powered weapons. Back when I first started Spiral Knights, you would just do a few Vanas and have all your gear heated maybe that's exaggerating, but you get my point. I almost like the forge, except for the whole grinding for free fire crystals thing. Who knows, maybe OOO will increase their drop rates.
I have so many things that are left unheated, but I slowly make progress towards them. All it takes is patience really. Getting radiants isn't all that bad if you're having fun.
Radiant fire crystals' only issue is that they share most of their strata with shining fire crystals. Make shinings only drop until D26 and your problem is solved. No other fire crystal really has the problem radiants do, and it's this reasoning.
Well, your basic point seems to be that Radiant Fire Crystals are too scarce. And we have had hundreds of threads about this complaint, including one today already. So, to your question, "Anyone else with me on this?", the answer would be "Obviously, yes."
