This has come up before, and
This has come up before, and usually (correctly) receives the sort of response as above, but having just done a run that, amongst other ignominies, involved me accidentally reviving myself during a particularly hectic fight when I'd've preferred to wait for another player to pick me up (thus saving a revive's worth of energy for the Jelly King), part of me thinks it'd be handy to have a CE bank purely for storage.
Making players balance the temptation to spend CE in dungeons to extend runs against the need to save up for CE-thirsty recipes is probably intentional, I get it, but still, I'd like to be able to put CE I'm saving towards such things away somewhere where I can't burn it in a fit of pique.
Pointless. You do not lose CE or crowns upon death (unless you energy revive). You can save up your stuff all on your own without needing a bank. Also if your stuff is in a bank then when you go into the clockworks and find Basil with several recipes you want you wouldn't be able to get them since your money is in the bank (Basil is behind the times and doesn't take debit cards).
The only thing that would make a bank worthwhile would be if it gave an interest rate on what you have deposited in the account. Considering the extreme lack of crown sinks in game generating crowns for literally doing nothing would be a very bad idea. Likewise OOO is not going to let you deposit your CE into a bank account and let it gain interest as giving away CE would cut into their profits.
