I just thought of a new idea for an enemy: Evil Knights!
They are pretty much like normal knights; only they are aggressive.
All of their colours would be red.
These guys would probably, (and I'm saying "probably" because I am not sure what monsters have normally,) have worse stats than normal knights.
These guys cannot be healed by gremlins, or silkwings, but they have vials, such as poison vials. The vials vary on what type of place they are. And the knights have 1 health capsule each, (the rank of the capsule/vial depend on what star the level is.)

2 star normal: Cobalt. These guys would have plain cobalt armour, with the blaster, or the calibur, or the blast bomb.

3 star normal: Solid Cobalt. These guys would have solid cobalt armour, and the super blaster, or the tempered calibur, or the super blast bomb.

4 star normal: Mighty Cobalt. These guys would have mighty cobalt armour, and the Master blaster, or the ascended calibur, or the master blast bomb.

5 star normal: Guardians! These guys would have the Azure Guardian armour, and the Valiance, or the Leviathan Blade, or the Nitranome.

I was thinking they would have different types of armour ALSO depending on wh

at type of place it would be. (Say it was a wolver place, then there would be knights with wolver armour, and what ever type of weapon a wolver gives you.) So, if you have any suggestions, please tell it to me!! (I know, these guys would be SO annoying.)

I like your idea, but I would Change some little things:
-make them beeing able to get healed by gremlins+silkwings because these are evil Knights now and as such they are on the same side like gremlin menders and silkwings

-their colour should be either purple (curse-colour, antimatter-colour, fiend-summoning-runes colour, unknown passage's eyes colour) mixed with black (corrupted void enemies) since These are the *evil* colours in spiral Knights

-aside the vials they should be able to use the equal barriers, too

-they should be able to use remeedy pills

note: a similar suggestion has been made in past already. one which I remember was about fighting the void-corrupted Alpha Squad or own imitations of yourselfe.

...What?

Enemies don't have "star levels", they have tiers.

What do you mean by "star level"?

How about this -

Tier 1: Spiral starter equips (the armor you get at the beginning of the game), proto weapons
Tier 2: Solid Cobalt, Tempered Calibur, Super Blaster, Super Blast Bomb
Tier 3: Azure Guardian, Leviathan Blade, Valiance, Nitronome

Also, please think about how your suggestions would be caused before suggesting. What made them evil?

Let's salvage this mess....or not.

I fear you struck quite a nerve with this half *** of a suggestion. Let's head to the first thing that makes me want to tear out your heart, the title "The knights are rebelling!". In none of your post you mentioned a rebellion. Also: We are soldiers granted safe haven in an iddylic, happy paradise of no conflict. Why would we act like invalids from third world countries such as nigeria and cause unnecesary revolutions and rebellions?! THERE IS NOTHING TO REBEL AGAINST. NO KNIGHT WOULD EVER, EVER, IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCE CHOOSE TO DESTROY HAVEN. If we wanted evil knights, we battled trojans, who were knights infected with corruption crystals. Second: WHY pure red color schemes? It may make sense to you, but from no aspect of game design does it make sense for a game with this style of art direction to have pure red things galloping around like sofas and wild things!
Admittedly, part of the design was salvageable. Vials used by enemies, varying armor, etc., but it feels as if you encountered those ideas by accident. Also: ENEMIES ARE GROUPED INTO TIERS AND ATTACK GROUPS. Almost no enemy can be ungrouped from these basic systems. Read the wiki and think things out before posting.

A full scale rebellion wouldn't be that good of a story. I would prefer that the knights of the Corp stay true to their fellow knights.

Story wise you may want to rethink your idea. WHY? Why would the knights rebel? Greedy, PTSD, crazy, etc.

______________________________________________________________________

Reworked idea:

Highway-knight: A rogue knight who works alone, he fights to steal money from those he defeats.

A flourish wielding knight dressing in a Shadow themed gunslinger set. Combat style is identical to the Almirian Crusaders. When approached this enemy will yell out "Stand and Deliver!". If you are out of his range of sight this enemy will attack other enemies in the room and will collect their drops. When defeated this enemy will drop all he has collected as well as a gold coin (50CR). (Note: This enemy spawns at random and only one per floor) (Note2: This knight has a chance to drop a 3* flourish of any variant)

Traumatized Knight: A knight who has been trapped in the clockworks too long, dressed in a Fancy themed Pathfinder set. This knight wields a
pre-GU Shadow Magnus and fires off charges at you (the charges cannot penetrate players or enemies). The gunshots do no status but moderate damage and travel slower than regular Magnus charges. When defeated this knight falls down but doesn't fade, you can interact with the fallen knight and a pair of recon knights will spawn in, pick up the fallen knight, and disappear leaving CR and materials. Before leaving one will say "Thanks for knocking him out, we're going to take him to the infirmary in Haven". (Note: this knight has a chance to drop a Magnus or Tundrus gun)

Psychotic bomber Knight: A bomber knight that fights using a mixture of Gremlin Ticker bombs, old Shard bombs, and a Recon shield (all elemental). Sounds tough, well he's also using a Divine themed Mad Bomber set and is easily revealed with status. This knight will attack you while spouting gibberish from time to time. He will also spasm from time to time, or doze off. He will fight mainly with the ticker bombs and will shout before using the shard bomb. If hit by an attack he will use his recon cloak to mark someone before attacking again. (Note: his bombs deal damage to you and monsters and his recon shield can mark monsters as well) (Note2: this knight has a chance to drop any 3* non-status shard bomb)

NOTE: All of these enemies are T3 exclusive as they would be more difficult. Item drop chances are about the same as True love locket drop.

Hmm.

Might be kind of neat to have "corrupted knights", who went insane and sought out asylum in the clockworks. Similar story to Arkus I suppose, but just lower-tiered knights, preferably geoknight in appearance with personal color that reflects the level they're in, and have a purple "ruinous crystal" accessory.

However, we do already fight a sort of knight within mecha knights, and making an AI for these new knights might be crazy (we don't have a blaster AI, only an autogun AI).

OK. The title was not good enough. More like: The knights are getting controlled!! I was more thinking, it wasn't their choice. They are controlled by monsters. And what I meant by "stars" is after each hall of hero mission, the guys will switch armour to the star the hall of hero's just gave. That is also why they start with 2* armour, and ALSO why you can only get them past the 2* hall of hero's mission. And yes, they should use purple and black then. It's just, in every other game, red is the evil colour. And Jenova, I was thinking they couldn't get healed by gremlins or silkwings because I was thinking gremlins and silkwings could only heal MONSTERS. Although these guys DO have a monstrous personality, they are technically not monsters. I mean, when gremlins give off those healing rings, YOU don't get healed by them. Also; these guys already have health capsules. And Holy Nightmare, I was thinking they would normally have cobalt, the maximum size of a group they come in would be four, they have no spark of life, but they do have an emergency revive. I was also thinking you could give me some suggestions about different armour for different places.

So, thank you so much for the suggestions, and please give me more! I wasn't expecting so many, but I am glad there is! I still would like more suggestions, I would like to know the good AND the bad about these guys. (Although, please do it politely.)

Nope. Enemy strength isn't determined by the stratum they're in, but by the tier they're in. So this won't happen. Choose the armor for them to have for 3 tiers, but no more than that, except for the variants.

That is sort of what I meant.

That is sort of what I meant... So maybe,

tier 1: cobalt armour

tier 2: solid cobalt armour

tier 3: azure guardian armour

And, their armour varies on the type of place they are in, e.g. if they are in a wolver den, they would have wolver armour and stun vials. (It would be the same with weapons.)
They will have 1 weapon each. Bomb, sword or handgun, or maybe they would have 2 each, and it would be mostly random which 2 types of weapons they have.
They would also have shields, like normal knights, and they DO USE THEM.
The shields can break, but they will recharge.
They can also use a shield bash, and shield jump.
They are exactly like normal knights, only evil/controlled and computer players, instead of real ones.

Oh dear.

Insert programming nightmare here

If you want to fight knights, there's two PvP games you can play. If you want a new monster that's not any family necessarily, stick to something simple. "Corrupted Knights" is one thing, "Swarm Infected" knights is similar but different. It is interesting, but making them smart would take a whole lot, as our allies are rarely smart as is.

Um...

That is not what I meant. The Corrupted Knights would be as smart as other computer players. "Insert programming nightmare here?" what is that supposed to mean?

He means it's probably much harder to program a robot/AI than you think it is.

But I haven't programmed a robot or AI either...

That is true.

It is true. But, they made AI Allies. And I still think it would be cool to make enemy knights.

Well...

And I still think it would be cool to make enemy knights.
You have a thing there. Enemy knights would act similar to other things. Swordies would be like mecha knights, bomber would be like gremlin demos (abet with bigger explosions), and gunners would be like a tier 1 mobile gun puppy. These enemies have to constantly recalculate your position, and I doubt a gunner would be able to hit a moving target.

Using vials and other consumables is the harder part. That's mostly the nightmare I'm talking about, as the AI would need to keep track of how many they have, when a good time to use them is, etc.

I said they could use 2 weapons, so a gunner might also have a sword, so he could still hit enemies. And, the gunner would be able to hit moving targets as much as gun puppies. And, Mecha Knights mostly hit with charge attacks, thus, these guys could also be faster.
