Make players invincible while lagging.

Lag is an issue, and players suffer from it a lot and get unfair deaths. The solution is to get better servers, but OOO doesn't seem to have the money or resources to do so.

For now, I have this suggestion:
When a player lags to the point ofrubberbanding or freezing, that player would be invincible from damage for the duration of the lag.

My game doesn't lag at all. While I'm playing, anything else I do lags though.

Got lag? now you can waltz through the clockworks and rule PVP with an untouchable fist.

A better solution would be not complaining about promo boxes when OOO releases them trying to make a profit (that could be put towards stuff like more server power)

You make it sound as if lag is an intentional part of the game. The game has no idea if you're lagging or not, it only tries to make sense of whatever data it receives. When data is dropped or delayed, this turns into lag.

The game can detect when you're disconnected. If I remember correctly, d/ced people are invincible.

Disconnected players are not invulnerable.
Disconnected players are not force-revived by their emergency revive
Loading players are invulnerable
Loading players become vulnerable after their client has informed the server that they have finished loading.
Disconnected clients cannot communicate with the server.
