Here are some self explanatory websites to help you with writing.

http://www.springhole.net/writing/marysue.htm
This link tells wether your character is a mary sue type character

http://www.springhole.net/writing_roleplaying_randomators/namegens.htm
Series of random name generators

http://badwebcomicswiki.shoutwiki.com/wiki/The_Mary-Sue_Character
Definition of mary sue character, also, peruse that website so you can detect writing cliches.
Have fun with these links.
P.S. I got a nine on the mary sue questionnaire. What did you get?

Oh god

I tried for an RP character -4, Got shocked and redo the test, got the same thing. Tried for my FF character and got a whooping 46 points. It looks like either I am a minor character on an RP , Or I underdevelop my characters in RP. And either I made my FF character so OP, or I watched to many action/adventure animes...

:/

Affraiel got 32, this is bad, I need to test out the rest of my RP characters and execute the Mary Sues. My fiction world cannot allow any of those to be around.

Midnight, you do realize that about half your characters...
Nevermind. I'll keep quiet.
Also, don't you think Execution is a bit much?

Mary Sue intensifies

My, two our of three articles about Mary Sues?
Really though, that seems to be the most common trap that new writers fall into, but if you put some thought into it and flesh your character out, you're certainly not going to end up with one.

Something I would like to add to the third article: An overpowered character is not inherently bad, so long as they are up against something stronger. Power is relative, you know. Readers want to see characters struggle, everyone likes rooting for the underdog. Give your character something to fight over, don't let him have his way all the time, and let him fail too. Then you should be good to go.
