A New Sprite Update (minerals, status, damage, and more)

OK so we all want something new with sprites and we want more variety to choose from. We also want something to do with all the spare minerals we never use. My idea is to introduce a new shop and a new machine in the Lab.

The "Mineral refinement machine" will be the first part of this update.
Lore: Minerals in the Clockworks contain various impurities that makes finding applications for them more difficult. The impurities are rare materials found only in certain minerals. You can deposit the minerals you have collected. The Lab techs get the purified minerals to study and use while you get the refined material that unpurified the mineral. Since this machine is under heavy use you can only deposit a certain number of materials per day.

Basic: Put in minerals, get out tokens.

Magthyra's harness customization shop will be the next part of the update.
Lore: Magthyra (AKA Mags) is a sprite maintenance and weaponsmith expert. She has developed a way to alter sprite harnesses by using the materials that are only found in mineral deposits. For a certain number of tokens and CE she can alter your current sprite harness.

She can add/strengthen status of your harness.
These statuses are:
Poison
Fire
Shock
Freeze
Stun

She can also add a "hunter's aspect" to your type damage harness.

Elemental can get:
Bot-killer = Construct
Paladin = Undead

Shadow:
Cauterize = Slime
Mentality = Gremlin

Pierce:
Wounding = Beast
Purifying = Fiend

This means that Mags can add 2 more powers to your harness, however once you alchemize it you cannot undo it so if you want a different status or boost you have to purchase a new harness from Riley. As an important side note this will lower your sprite's base damage output you are compensated by added/strengthened status and monster damage.

The last part of the update is a special shop. This shop is also run by Izola (from HOH).

This shop will have items unlock based on Prestige. You will be able to trade in your minerals tokens for Forge Boxes.
Naturally the 5* items will be exponentially more than the lower star ones. Basically for one Radiant Forge box you will have to have logged on and vendored the max amount of minerals for a month.

Side note: You can only get forge boxes for 3, 4, and 5 star
3 star boxes can only have 1 variant tickets
4 star boxes can have 1 and 2 variant tickets
5 star boxes can have them all

This update offers a CE sink, a way to get rid of minerals, and a reason to log in daily, Collect prestige, and collect minerals.

Hmm.

Interesting. The sprite harness customization, would it work on all forms of sprite harnesses? And if so, would we have to buy the precursors again? (i.e., basic, advanced, elite, in that order?)
Would the "hunters aspect" items not max out with sprite abilities that deal damage vs enemies? I know in the past you wanted it to stack past maximum with the dazzling light ray. Wanted to know if that's still the case here.

As for the mineral tokens, good way to turn minerals into something usable! However, instead of simply making it a limited-daily sort of thing, how about you see a "supply/demand" sort of thing. Like the old gate system, sometimes certain minerals will be worth more than others. Instead of crowns you'd get an equal amount of tokens.

I would say have 4 deposit slots that restart every 24 hours. This means that, regardless of your timezone, you'll be able to get the rewards of a newly-opened deposit. The more minerals that are put into these slots, the less overall tokens you will get. This means you can deposit all of your blue and green minerals if you want, but you'll get less tokens back to use if you do so instead of waiting for a new gate.

Lastly, we should have either a different NPC for Izola's shop, or make Izola stay in the lab. Izola's gear changes depending on what rank we are (i.e., which hall of heroes we end up in), so having her be in full 5* stuff would confuse a newer player. Since the lab is instanced per person, this should work very well.

Statuses could be added to all harnesses, but the "Hunter's Aspect" only to ones with effective type damage. Yes it would stack past maximum for that one attack DLR.

I think making some days have certain minerals worth more is a good idea. Have it fluctuate on a daily basis with each taking turns at the top. Weekends it would be randomized but weekdays would be on a schedule.

I can understand having more than one slot but for the sake of reinforcing patience have it so that the older gates pay out less as they approach the end of their availability.

I just picked Izola because she is my favorite and because she probably isn't that busy. Probably going to change that later....

That's sort of the point of having multiple gates. The more minerals that have been put into a gate, the smaller and smaller the "large" payouts will be. You can get 5 tokens off of almost any material for new gates, but only 1-3 tokens off of a gate that's been active for over 16 hours.

If no-one dumps anything into these gates, then they'll pay out a lot at the end of their time, but if everyone dumps their minerals for maximum profit at a new gate then they'll get more crowns out of it. Multiple gates is more the solution to timezones than they are to the root problem, because I'd hate to never get good prices on my minerals because they only rotate at 11am my time, and that would get into my work schedule.

Better to have the prices slowly go down over time than to make an outright limit to them. Since a new gate would come out every 6 hours, you don't need to wait a few days for a new one to pop up if you don't like the current ones.
