This is my tournament that I might do every couple months since I love you guys so much, even though you're mostly horrible people who rage and complain at stupid things. The rules might not be to your liking, but that's okay. They're intentionally, slightly dumb cuz I like triggering you cuties. So without further ado, here are the rules:

Start Time:
- August 24th, 2015

Entrance Fee:
- Entry is 10 Ecto Drops and 1 hug. Send me the items through mail with the message "/hug." I need you to mail me so I have your name and won't forget it. If you don't hug me, I'm not entering you into the tournament.

Information:
- 16 players have to be enrolled for the full prize pool. If there are less than 16 by the start date than the prizes will drop to 500kcr, 200kcr, 100kcr. There is a 32 player limit. Everyone will be informed if the limit is reached.
- This is a Tier 3 tournament but you can bring lower tier gear if you want.
- No BM. Talk s*** and you're out. Friendly banter is encouraged though. ;)
- I'm gonna watch every match, so this tourney might last a while. I wanna see the hype, personally.
- My internet is inconsistent and I may d/c occasionally. If that happens during a match, sucks to be the winner of that round. When I relog, we'll run it back. This rule is only here on the off chance it happens.
- USA server only. I red bar in EU and won't even be able to see what's going on as everyone goes through walls and I run into every hazard imaginable. If you're an EU player, sorry m8.
- The bracket will be generated randomly. No seeds or favoritism involved.
- Have fun. That's why you play this game, I think.

Gear Rules (IMPORTANT!):
- AT isn't banned. Use it as hard as you can.
- The only UVs permitted are Monster Bonus UVs and Low UVs. Medium, High, Very High, and Maximum are banned. The exception being Monster Bonus since that does nothing.
- No armors that offer damage+, charge+, or attack speed+ bonuses of any kind. MSI and negative perks are allowed.
- No promo, event, or DLC. This includes reskins.
- No trinkets allowed.
- Only 2 weapons can be used per round.
- You can't enter yourself and your alt. You are banned forever if you do this and I catch you.

Tournament Rules:
- First to 5 wins advances.
- Countdown will be 3-2-1-Go. When you see Go, the match starts.
- The loser of a round is allowed to change gear.
- There will be boundaries in matches. You won't be allowed to run the whole map.
- This is a single elimination tournament. The bracket will be posted on Challonge.

Prize:
1st - 1,000,000 crowns
2nd - 500,000 crowns
3rd - 100,000 crowns
I'm a generous guy and surprisingly dependable. Don't worry, I've been paying-to-win for a while, so you have my word on paying up. Your doubts are understandable though seeing as we're all strangers. You'll just have to trust me even though I might not trust you.

Rules may change slightly to ensure that people play fair and everything is cheat-proof. The tournament will start on August 24th, 2015. Should be enough time to let you craft proper gear since you've likely been swimming in riches previously.

Just saying...

1. You might want to specify shield classes. If they are guardian, they can heal when shielding, so that would makes your "winner no healing rule" kind of hard to enforce.

2. Your logic about AT is inconsistent with how you are banning all the other stuff.

3. Everyone who joins is going to show up in full ancient. It's the easiest 5-star to obtain for end game players and gives extra HP to boot.

4. Your rules will attract trolls. People who don't actually want to participate will join and ruin your games. You can't force them to leave the match, so you'll need at least 8 people who are genuinely in it for the tournament to settle a single match. You guild exclusion clause would make that even more difficult.

5. For what it's worth, this is a tournament I'm actually slightly interested in joining/spectating.

1: I added some more detailed rules regarding the healing part. It's mostly so I can inspect gear without them returning to base and changing gear for the ones in the rules (crappy gears). Say they were wearing their usual stuff in the battles but then return to change to an identical set but without the good UVs. ;) If they chill on the pad after they win, they can't change gear even when the win screen pops up so I can see what they were wearing in their winning battle. :D

2: To be honest, it's mostly out of spite since, personally, I don't find a problem with AT. I find it more of a chore to play with than without since I can't fight 2-3 people effectively with it on. Also, the rules are supposed to be "scrub-friendly" if you will lol. Trash gear, no Slots, no/bad UVs, etc. :D Might do the next tourney with AT off to please the more elite players around here who are interested in Round 2.

3: Oh snaps! I forgot about that one! Oh wells, I'll allow it this time though. Might change it for the next tournament, assuming this one runs decently.

4: Yeah, this one will be tricky, but I'm gonna gather some friends to occupy spots in my 2 alt guilds so that this can run smoothly. I don't plan on doing this in RLD for sure. People are getting a free opportunity at a lot of crowns now and in the future, so I think they'll respect the rules. I hope... :x

5: WOO! Thanks for the post, m8. Looking forward to having you enter! Truthfully, I can't see this tournament running super well, since people tend to try to break the rules at every turn they can. But it will be fun regardless, for me at least. I expect a lot of salt if this go awry anyways. But yeah, hoping for a good result but preparing for a salty one.

I would propose that certain weapons be banned not just UVs
Acheron for sure (it hits like a GF and much faster)
status weapons with chance on normal attacks maybe.....

UVs could be allowed so long as they are not used. It would seriously limit gameplay for some..... (ASI users could only use charges and CTR users could only use regular attacks.)

Ancient Plate is fine since while it does offer a bit more HP they only thing it is for is normal damage denial. It's slow moving and attacking.

This tournament actually looks pretty neat. I am glad recording is not required (unless I missed that somewhere). I would edit out the R word in your first paragraph though, just a heads up :)

Looks like guardian, AArcana spamming Ancient Plate clone with a backup BTB is the way to go here. Strikers wouldn't stand a chance (even if they gunned), and the only way a recon could win is by spamming a pulsar and other guns to keep the guardian's shield down. I am interested to see what other sets people come up with though!

Just a few questions Manlet:
1) Do you think there should be a time limit for the fights?
2) You said no promo/event items (which makes sense since mixmaster exists), but how about the reskins like nog blaster/deadly candy poker?

Could it be possible to use armors that give only one low bonus? Having a hard time choosing a set because all my helmets have at least one non-monster bonus. Too bad I vendored my asi low BTB a while ago too xP

Love the rules, suppose it'll keep the matches more pacific due to fear of getting banned from this.

As much as I appreciate the effort to give the LD scene some life, some of these rules are downright pointless or not at all thought out. For example:

You are only permitted to change gear if you die/lose. If you continue to win, you can only heal at your base and come back. I'll follow you back to your base if you're on the other team to make sure you don't go beyond your boundaries. Any entry beyond the healing pads, as a victor, will be a DQ. If you lagged, that's just tough luck.
is entirely pointless because you can just inspect people once they get out, before they fight again.

- No promo or event items. This includes Hammer and that Shadow bomb thing.
Would this include reskins? You should elaborate.

- If the winner kills himself after being crowned the winner of the set, he loses the entire set. Sit on the pad if you're afraid of lag spikes.
... as well as any other rules which concern what happens after the set are completely pointless. Why should you care about what happens after the set, as you've already decided the winner?

- The winner of the set can't re-enter his base to heal. Once you win 5 games, you'll sit on the Point Pad until your team wins so I can inspect your gear. If Inspect is Off, you lose the entire set. Make sure it's on, folks.

Just inspect, there's no need for that person to win the game or anything.

Furthermore I don't understand why you would need to have a good connection to watch a european game. What happens during a fight doesn't even matter as long as you can tell who died and who didn't, which will be very obvious.

Lastly, consider that most high tier players have pretty strong gear and UVs. Getting an ideal set for this competition would require about 1k radiants for the weapons and then some for getting the gear to at least level 5 for the health boost. That's a crapton of farming in just about 3 weeks. If you want a good balance between a competition where UVs and gear don't determine outcome and actual inclusivity, consider loosening the restrictions. Making a ruleset that puts everyone on equal grounds doesn't mean you've made a ruleset where everyone can compete.

You maybe forgot to read the first part "They're intentionally, slightly retarded because I like triggering people." But anyway..
A lot of those rules are to get sure people doesn't change gear, but that's pretty obvious. I've seen how much of a liar this community can be like to use an ASI VH/Max UV and switch at the end for an UVless.
A better thing to do would be just have Manlet add both players 1vs1ing and inspect them often to make sure they didn't cheat.. after that he can just unfriend them or w/e.

As for the EU thing, playing on both servers and having to switch between them sucks, he probably just wants the matches to be played quickly.

I'm not awfully bothered by the rules, I just want him to be able to host his competition properly.

As for as for the EU thing thing, he said "I red bar in EU and won't even be able to see what's going on. If you're an EU player, sorry m8." I agree that switching between can be annoying and whatnot but the reason shouldn't be that the host doesn't have a decent connection to the server.

@Knee: There won't be a time-limit, but probably an out of bounds section or something. I don't think these will run that long anyways since Trinks are banned. And I think I'm gonna just have everything promo and event banned for this one since I've told some people that it's banned already. I think some folk are preparing new gear as a result of that, so this is to favor those that I already gave my word to.

@Hersh: It's banned. Even though the odds of that charge happening is really low, if someone did use it, then I'd have some explaining to do. To avoid that matter entirely, I'm just banning every UV from having higher than Low, with the exception of Monster Bonuses.

@Bully: Only Low UVs are allowed, with the exception of Monster Bonus, which can be Very High if you want.

@Krack: Whoa! I didn't know that you could inspect mid-match lol. I haven't had friends on my friends list for years and I haven't been in a guild for equally as long so I didn't know about this kind of technology! I will change the rules as they will be useless with this new information.

Just throwing it out here: normal low is allowed, elemental med on gear without elemental defense is not allowed. normal low provides less damage taken from normal inflicting damage, the elemental med is EQUAL TO NOTHING in form of provided defense.

Relax. You're complaining about a competition that isn't meant for the big guns, it gives opportunity for those who don't use/have UV's and have under geared sets. If you are scared or think that you need UV's to make it interesting, don't bother. Go join the other tournaments, this is the first one open to the undergeared, which makes it great.

Most tournaments are open to the poorly geared, it's just that they're usually open to the well geared as well. I feel like you're confusing inclusivity with fair rules.

Anyhow, as Illu pointed out, there needs to be players and there can't be if the ruleset will exclude too many in the name of balance. I have no interest in participating myself but I'm glad to see this gent is doing something for the LD community, which is why I want to help him make a better ruleset.

I saw radiants and I need to tell you

krakob, 1k radiants will heat 2 pieces of gear
you would need a bit under 2k to make the 2 weapons and armor/helm if you dont have any non UVed stuff
(side note, it takes about 20 DaN runs for the radiants for a single piece of gear)

I estimated about 20 DaN runs to heat a single 5* with the 100% option, so thats not too hard

also with the apocrea event there are some radiant arenas for those who cant handle the swarm
