Mineral depositing was a convenient way to earn crowns and influence the outcome of the next arcade gate. Now they are only used to feed battle sprites, so in most cases only one type of mineral is useful to each player unless they have multiple sprites, blue and green being completely useless, and the one mineral is only useful until the sprite reaches level 100. I feel adding mineral depositing back into spiral knights would keep minerals useful for ever and it would also allow me to obtain the 10000 mineral achievement which has been driving my OCD crazy for around two years!
Also I noticed my friends seem to get bored of spiral knights when trying to get enough orbs of alchemy to get through the hall of heroes. They seem to get bored of playing boss missions over and over to get crowns. I thought maybe one way of making alchemy quicker but not making it pointless would be to only use one orb in each recipe, but sell one orb at a time in the supply depot. This would mean players could acquire a couple of prices of gear through getting orbs as mission rewards, one or two from getting orbs from crates and they would pay 200/400/800 energy per orb to get the rest, which would only be one or two orbs, and also to get any extra gear they want. I believe this would mean new players stayed playing for longer and would enlarge the community, but any other method of achieving this goal would be just as effective.
If anyone else has a related thought or suggestion, please leave a reply, otherwise thank you for taking the time to read this and please consider my suggestions!
You're wrong on the mineral section.
Blue and green - Used for prestige missions. It would be nice if more uses were added, though.
Minerals sprite doesn't use - Can be made into sprite food and traded to other players for crowns or the food they do need (or sold in the AH).
Mineral the sprite uses - If anything, it becomes more useful after level 30 (?).
