Game force closes

Every time I get to the grasping plateau depth in the Shroud of the Apocrea mission my game just closes by itself. It doesn't matter if i'm solo or in a party. This doesn't happen anywhere else in the game and has never happened to me in the past. Any reason for why this keeps happening?

Similar problem, but not using windows 10

I have the similar problem. When I was in the grasping plateau, after the second Apocrea blur popped out, me and my party members disconnected. We were using Windows 8.

Update?

I've noticed that if I minimize the window, it still closes but it stays open longer. If I don't minimize it the game closes at 90% every time. Only this level too, I can still do FSC and arcade perfectly fine.

Same Here

I'm having this problem as well, and I am using Windows 8. I actually managed to get through a whole floor of the Grasping Plateau before Spiral Knights crashed. When I got to the next floor, which was another Grasping Plateau, the ground didn't load, but everything else was there (the bushes, gravestones, enemies, etc.), and I lasted about five seconds before I crashed. On my second run, when I got to the plateau, everything was working fine at first, until I encountered a patch of unloaded ground. Then I lasted five seconds and then crashed. I know it's not my computer's specs. It's a brand new gaming laptop. It runs the rest of the game perfectly. My sister's laptop is older and not designed for gaming. It runs the Grasping Plateau just fine, even with all the players returning for the Apocrea event. I think the problem is the operating system.

Greetings,

So far from the bug reports we've received (thanks for those!) this appears to be a problem related to Intel Integrated Graphics, as so far all the Java crash reports site the graphics driver as the fault point.

Thankfully this can usually be fixed by going to Intel's Download Center and obtaining the most recent graphics driver for your computer.

Those with Nvidia based laptops please make sure that Optimus is correctly setting the laptop to it's high power state when running Spiral Knights, or else you're likely using the low power Intel Graphics still. A performance profile that forces the system to use the high power NVidia graphics mode can made by following the linked steps on the Spiral Knights wiki.

Still got the problem

Well, I did the dowload (Intel Driver Update Utility), did the scan, but it didnt show me any driver to update, so I tried again, but still the game closes when I get in the Grasping Plateau, ty for answering anyway.

Persisting problem

It's not just a few people, many others have the same problem. I also tried the Update Utility, downloaded what I needed, and still doesn't work.

Question to all

Has everyone tried playing the game on low graphics and setting the advanced settings to compatibility mode? It seems to stay open!
Edit: Nevermind about this post.

Solution? Probably not...

Helios was right about my graphics driver, it did need an update, but that still didn't work for me. I eventually ended up downgrading back from Windows 10 to Windows 8.1 and now for some odd reason I can do the mission. I really don't think Windows 10 was the problem though, I'm probably just missing something that I just so happened to "undo."
