Twice when I died in the Shroud of the Apocrea mission (in the Grasping Plateau), the map was revealed to me.

The first time, I had one person with me. When I died, we could both see the map.

The second time, I in a full party. After I died, I could see the map, but only when viewing a specific party member. When viewing myself or anyone except that person, the map remained static. I don't think anyone else could see the map.
