Well, the title may be a bit misleading. I am (yet again) considering getting back into SK, and to achieve that, I'd like to purchase the 5* Black Kat Armour Set aswell as the Obsidian Weapons. Now, before I decide whether or not I actually want to buy those items, I'll need to know how much they cost, so I'm not just looking for offers (though I do appreciate them and will consider them), but am also hoping to get some general idea of how much they have been going for and what form of payment is most popular (and most cost efficient for someone who'll have to invest IRL money anyway).

Please note that I may end up not buying any items at all (which has actually happened before).

Please also note that whilst I generally like UVs, I have no intention of spending significantly more than I'd already have to to get items with nice UVs.

I've been in your situation

I've been in your situation so many times...

So, prices.

Black Kat Cowl: 10k E plain
Black Kat (Cloak: 5k E), (Mail: 15k E), (Raiment: 30k E) -

Raiment price scales the most with UVs.

Obsidian weapons usually go for 6-7k E plain, and also scale considerably more than normal weapons with UVs.

Hope this helped, GL with your rebuilding :)

Crafting

@Kneeanderthal thanks for the response, do you happen to know whether it would be cheaper to buy a Black Kat Cloak and craft up to the Raiment or to straight up buy the Raiment?

@ Pastelette thanks for the offer, I'll definitely consider it but I don't think I'll buy until I've decided on the whole thing (so I'll need to know how much this will cost me), so it might take a while.

Hmm...I think that it would

Hmm...I think that it would be cheapest to get the cloak for <5k E and craft it up, for a total cost of 27-29k E (not much savings tbh). Though the hard part is finding people to do Margrel runs with

Hold on, I'm confused

Hold on, I'm seriously confused now. I just checked the wiki page, and I can't find any ingredients that seem rare to me. Also, how do I do Margrel runs, what even are they? Whilst I've started playing quite a while ago (long before mist energy was removed) I haven't played much, and I missed the event that brought this particular set of armour. Does it still happen, and how hard is it to get the armour?

Ok, I also want to tell you

Ok,

I also want to tell you that I can't guarantee that I will be pricing for that much depending on the market.

EDIT: Another option, you can bid on the Obsidian Crusher. (Another option for you. =)

Ah ok, lemme break it down

Ah ok, lemme break it down for you

In order to craft BK armor, you need Wicked Whiskers. You get these from summoning Margrel at emberlight (depth 8), via one person using a Book of Dark Rituals (just need one per party). People charge 5k E per party slot for these runs. The bookholder gets both a bkc and 1 wicked whisker, while everyone else in the party gets a wicked whisker only. The material in untradeable, and the book (different mat) sells for 30k E.

So basically, you pay 5k E to get a 5* mat to craft bk armor. You need 1 to make the 3* cloak, then 2 for 4*, then 3 for 5*.

You can youtube margrel runs if you want, its pretty much a special boss.

RIP

So essentially, I might just aswell buy a Black Kat Raiment since I'm gonna save hardly any CE but have to grind for it.
