We have Shogun Helmets and only one weapon that's somewhat similar to a Katana? I think it's time to change this. Introducing the Katana line, a fierce blade with two alchemy lines.

Tachi **
Fast strikes dealing Normal damage.
Charge is just a strong forward stab, any opponents hit with it are dealt 2x the sword's damage and no knockback is dealt.

Katana ***
Same speed with increased damage.
Charge remains the same as before

Dark/Light Katana ****
Same speed, more damage (Dark does Shadow Damage, Light does Piercing)
Light Katana now does 2.5x the sword's damage and shines during the stab. Dark does 1.5x but has a 50% chance to curse, the charge time is longer than the Light one, and the attack has a 15% chance to curse it's user. The attack has a black aura as it's performed.

Demonblade/Masamune *****
Demonblade's damage is only slightly increased, but Masamune's increases normally. They have the same speed as previously, but Demonblade now has a shadow blade attack after the initial swing, similar to the cutter series. This shadow blade has a 0.05% chance to inflict curse.
Demonblade remains with 1.5x damage and 50% curse chance as well as increased time. If curse is failed, it lowers the users defense but increases attack. Masamune's charge remains the same, dealing 2.5x damage but with the added effect of a 20% chance to increase defense.
( Buffs and debuffs don't stack. )

Interesting

Honestly I'd like to see the normal damage one changed over to piercing damage, with the 3* version dealing normal damage. Sort of like sealed swords but faster hitting and expanding our piercing arsenal.

Give the shadow version a longer time to charge their charge attack, and make the curse minor (or moderate) curse and we'll be on a good area. Also have a 15% chance on charge to inflict the user with minor curse.

This sort of swordplay would definitely be interesting. Any ideas for the attack style?

I was thinking the first swing being a short one, being around 45 degrees or so in front of you, the second hit being a quick jab adapting from the initial swing quickly, and finishing with another swing except this one being anywhere from 90 to 150 degrees, being the strongest in the combo.

That's a good balance there

Encouraging players do use the full combo instead of just the first hit is a good move.

I dig it. Not too much else to talk about but this isn't too extreme in any direction.
