OK, so i have a Barbarous Thorn Shield with (shock max) on it. I am wondering if that is a good shield , and if so how much would it sell for, or should i keep it?

Price checks go in the Bazaar forum. So you might move this thread there (by editing the original post and choosing that forum from the drop-down menu).
As Fehzor said, this is a very good shield. Shock, fire, and freeze are the best UVs you could hope for on a shield. They're so good that Punch doesn't give them.
We can't answer whether you should sell or keep it, because that comes down to whether you value the shield more than other players do. We don't know that, because you've told us nothing about yourself. For example:
* Are you an extreme end-game player trying to accumulate the very best equipment? Then keep it. This is close to the best possible shield in the game.
* Are you a novice-to-intermediate player who has lots of equipment to acquire? Then sell this and use the profits to buy a bunch of items.

Pretty good.... unfortunately there aren't many Pierce enemies that deal shock and one of them (the Quicksilver) is also capable of elemental attacks. Regardless the status resist will help out in shock levels more than a regular BTS would.

Holy-Nightmare said that well. It's not that monsters dealing piercing and shock are a huge threat.
It's that BTS is a great shield, because of its offense. Its defense is okay, because of its health. But its defense is never great, because of its lack of status resistances. Shock+4 makes this shield much better defensively.

You can move this thread to the Bazaar and get your price check if you'd like- just edit the OP and look for the drop down menu.
I mean I can't price check it but that's probably just about the best UV you could get on it, along with fire and possibly freeze.
