Basically another pure damage brandish line. This would deal Elemental and Normal, it's neutral power would be equal to the Acheron and Charge would be the same. Color wise it would be bright divine themed with a white blade and yellow highlights, the model would be the same as the Acheron.

So before you start whining about weapon balance let me explain.... this weapon would be released on the Brandish Nerf update (bound to come). This weapon and the Acheron would drop below the power level of the GF/DA line but still be slightly more powerful than the Leviathan Blade. Your status dealing brandish lines would actually drop below the Leviathan blade's power but due to type damage and status they would still be superior.

The intended result if this is to bring balance to the sword family of weapons and to provide a new and solid option in PVP.

Eh

Nothing against a new pure-damage sword such as a non-status elemental brandish.

Really, brandishes don't need that big of a nerf to combat power. Perhaps each consecutive brandish charge explosion would get less powerful and the statusless brandishes would only deal more damage on charge attacks, not on the standard hits.

Having a pure elemental brandish wouldn't upset too much. If we were to make a pure normal damage or piercing brandish, that's when I'll start complaining, but another elemental one that doesn't step too far out of line isn't bad.

This blade is two damage types normal and elemental. What I meant by the term "Pure damage" is that this would be status free like the Acheron and have higher base power than your standard status brandish.

Brandish attacks do need a bit of a nerf.... not much since they still need to outpace the Leviathan blade but they don't need to be on par with the GF/DA.

As for the name it goes in line with the Acheron's.
Acheron is a river in the Greek underworld while Olympus is home of the Greek gods.

Oh did I write it like that...

I know what you were getting at but I guess saying "pure-damage" made it seem like I wasn't acknowledging split damage. Woopsie!

It's essentially an acheron but with elemental damage, I recognize that. With attack damage equal to current brandishes this weapon would be fine, and just have a much more powerful charge attack. Before you go and say it doesn't have a use, remember that people bring combusters to FSC because they don't want to prevent enemy movements - this would be the way around that while dealing more damage.

Personally I would rework the charge attack so that it deals the same amount of damage as right now, however deals less damage for each explosion. Something like first explosion would deal 150% of current damage, second one 125%, third 100%, 4th 75%, 5th 50%. This system works backwards, so at 2* you'll be doing 75% and 50% damage parts, and at 3* it gets back to 100%. Makes 5* brandishes more desireable else you're losing out on a major initial damage explosion.

What I'd like to see is all brandishes deal the same damage across the board with standard hits. The charge attack is what differentiates them anyways, so have pure damage ones deal pure damage. I will say that if we want more damage on standard hits, give it to the third hit on Acheron/Olympus so that those who don't finish combos won't see much use of it.
