Well seeing as the knights who have entered the core at this point have been A) Alpha Squad, and they never came out and B) Yourself and Vaelyn, I don't think a plot point such as "get them out of the core" would really work.
But the plotline for a single mission as this sort seems very scummy. I understand that's sort of the point but still.
