Guns for the Breaker sets

I just feel that every armor set should have weapons that go with it, which is where I was going with the variants for the defensive set swords - Ice Jelly sword is for the Ice Queen set, Shock Jelly swords are for the Quicksilver line, Divine Wand is for the Divine set, and the Unstable Wand is for the Chaos set.

So, here are the Breaker set guns -

-----

Guns - Statusblasters

All of these have 3 shot clips. The charge is given a slight bonus at 3*. All weapons have a high chance of inflicting moderate status.

Fire - Shoots small bits of flame at the same speed as an Antigua (bullet speed and size are the same too). Charge fires a wave of flames that increases in size as it travels.

1* Emberblaster

2* Fireblaster

3* Blazeblaster - Middle of the charge is brighter, and deals more damage (middle only, the rest is normal)

Freeze - Shoots bits of ice similar in size and speed as a Blaster. Charge instantly freezes the area in front of the player, dealing damage to anything in the area frozen. Frozen spots have a chance of freezing anything that walks over them even after the attack is over, but deal no actual damage.

1* Frostblaster

2* Iceblaster

3* Blizzblaster - Frozen areas have a higher chance of freezing than before

Shock - Shoots bolts of electricity that hits instantly, but still triggers shields and dodging. Can hit multiple times, so shielded/dodging enemies don't take most of the damage, though they still take a little bit of it. Charge shoots a blast similar to a Blaster charge, but it leaves a trail behind it that stays for a few seconds, dealing a small amount of damage (and sometimes shocking) enemies that touch it.

1* Circuitblaster

2* Voltblaster

3* Surgeblaster - Charge leaves mist cloud like a Static Capacitor when exploding (only triggers if it hits a monster, wall, or block), but slightly smaller

I might make swords later as well.

2 things

1. these could work, but they should come from the proto modified guns (like zapper, spitfire, frost gun) we dont need entire new lines when we already have usable base items

2. we already have swords, theyre the shocking edge and hot edge, you only need a freeze one added

Eh

Agree with Vohtarak here - if you're gonna make any lower star gun happen make it a proto-modified line.

Personally, I don't think we need a weapon themed after every armor set. That is really unnecessary. We do need a fair amount of weapons that act differently (still waiting on the proto duelist to make it into the full game), but putting unique behaviors on lower-tiered weapons it'll be even more of a trap card for new players.

Was in the preview server

Proto duelist was either a 0* or 1* antigua reskin that dealt normal damage. I forget if it has the autogun charge attack or the antigua one, but it shot standard shots like an antigua. It was on the preview server for the gunner update a year or so ago.

There was also a new LD map on the preview server that I still want to make its way over to the main game, but I don't know if there'll be much luck with that.

Somewhat

Was pretty close, yeah. Chilling duelist is a paid weapon however, whereas proto duelist would likely be a mission reward or something you could get without spending money on the game.

@Vohtarak

If the Edges are going to be a "set" sword, there'll need to be a 3* version.

@Fangel

For "new player traps" - What if there was an alchemy path shown? The images of items in the alchemy path would be hidden until you learn the recipe for them, but you would be able to see where it branches off and where it ends before learning the recipes.

...New thread for this, or no?

I'm a wizard

Im not sure about making 9 new elemental proto guns with different charges but this is just me.
Of course we added a bunch damage variants of already existing weapons in the Gunner Update but people might be quick to just take the alchemer line over this if a new charge attack goes to 3*.

Yeah that's what I was thinking

We really don't need more weapons when we already have so many things covered, especially with guns. We need a new area being covered rather than the same places being revisited - especially when they only go to 3* and many new players will seek out these lower items and be trapped in tier 2.

The 'edge' series is just an early brandish line with status on the third hit rarely. These new blasters would already be covered by alchemers or the elemental blaster. It's... It's not something we really should have.
