Adventure 2: Basic cake ingredients + watermelon jello = watermelon egg tarts

How it was done:

This one is a bit more complicated than the fudge creation, so it will get more formatting.

Step one: Create dough out of flour (a derivative of wheat), butter (a derivative of milk), milk, sugar and egg.

Specifically-
2 sticks of butter
3 cups of flour
1 cup of sugar
1 egg

Generally you'll want to mix the dry ingredients and then add in the butter/egg slowly. When this is done, you can line whatever form of pie pan, cup cake holder, or baking tray you want to make it in.

Step two: Create sugar + jello mix + egg mixture

Specifically-
1 cup of water
2 packs of jello
~1/2 cup sugar

Boil it on the stove and stir it; when all of the jello mix and sugar is gone, let it cool.

Then-
9 eggs

Mix the now room temperature jello and sugar with 9 eggs. If you leave bubbles in it, it won't be as pretty on the top when you're done, so aim to get rid of those if you care about that sort of thing. Once mixed put the mixture through a sieve to strain away anything big and help with the bubbles.

Step three:

Place the mixture into the crust(s); I used cup cake tins and a cup cake pan.

Bake for 15-20 minutes until it slightly browns at around 400 degrees Fahrenheit/200 Celsius. When done, refrigerate overnight so that the jello can do its thing.

I used red and green food dyes to make it look nicer, like little watermellons. Otherwise, it would have been white and an odd orangish color which would have been stranger.

How it turned out:

Strange and awful. Don't do this.

Lolno. It was actually pretty good and people liked them, but were skeptical of the fact that I baked jello and eggs which makes sense. It turned out very similarly to punkin pie, but instead of tasting warm and punkin like it tasted cool and watermelon like. Some considerations for the future would be cutting out some of the butter/sugar and making healthier fillings, possibly as a strange futuristic meal type thing.
