...at least publicly?

I see dozens of players in Haven, but absolutely no one ever in joinable groups, even if you attempt to join every single tier, consecutively.

Is it that everyone is playing Elite? I've tried joining in both Advanced and normal.

So the question is, are all groups generally private/guild lately? Does no one in fact play? Or is there some other factor I'm not controlling for?

Thanks muchly,

I see plenty clockworks runs

I see plenty clockworks runs happening in my guild; from what I've seen in other guilds, many runs happen, they're just restricted to guild members.
Same goes with friends.

Your issue is likely that you're searching for Normal / Advanced parties and that you're in the middle of missions instead of endgame. Most people tend to only run Elite and typically run missions with the highest payout (FSC, DaN). Most prefer to go solo or only run with people they know won't hold them back.

If you're in need of party members to help you through missions, it'd be best to join a guild with members that can help. I'm an Officer in Legoland, so if this is indeed your case and you're not in a guild shoot me a message or take a look over in the Guild Recruitment forums to find something that suits your needs.

Yea

Elite difficulty is where most players are, or at least end-game players are. Personally I do a lot of my clockworks runs solo because I'll spontaneously leave for 5-10 minutes to do things and I don't want to leave my party waiting.

But hosting an elite clockworks party in at least tier 2 (tier 3 works better) you'll probably get a drop-in player or two.

exactly

Like Fangel, I often party solo because I'm forced to take breaks in the middle. When I'm not partying solo, I like to play in open parties where I can meet new people.

Join an active guild. When you do host a party, leave it open, and maybe others will join. Befriend them. Good luck.
