What's with Knockers and their other variants? They're so short and useless. And also they look like the kids from Emberlight.
Is that what those Gremlins are doing? Using child labor as their evil plan?
That sounds more evil than this swarm junk.

Nah, knockers are stout little worker gremlins. They can get into small areas that other larger gremlins would have trouble getting into.
The orphans of emberlight just use the same model because it's easier to say "little thing is a child of a big thing" and art assets and whatnot. In the clockworks, knockers are just shorter gremlins.
We don't call extra-short-height modifier knights children.
