Pivoting Charge Attacks

Specifically for Antigua lines. Autogun, maybe a small bit.

The only thing I don't like about the antigua and autogun lines is that, while intended for crowd control, their charge attack duration and static movement whilst attacking with the charge make it dangerous to use, especially with antigua variants.

Because of this, I'm tentatively suggesting a pivoting option for Antigua, giving the player full turning control while using the charge attack, albeit still rooted to the spot, to heighten accuracy and minimize risks of usage. Autogun lines could possibly have a more sluggish turning control due to their wider area of damage, as well.

Thoughts?

No to Antiguas; their charges are pretty clearly not meant to have Crowd Control-- the charge has basically no knockback and has no extra special effects save for the dragging shot at the end of the charge. It's fairly clearly meant to be a means of stronger single-target damage, with the initial bullets dealing slight damage and letting enemies get close because of the lack of knockback, then the final shot dragging them away to keep the player relatively safe. While I hate it and think it's mostly useless, there's really nothing wrong with it. It'd be nice to get rid of the initial shots and fire immediately though, but then they'd just have Magnus charge. Or have Antiguas be like Cutters, where you're locked in to the first few hits and then you control the direction of the last, final hit. Or just slight turning, but -1 to full turning.

As for autoguns, also no. Their charge covers plenty of range and, depending on the autogun, already provides good Crowd Control (Grim Repeater and Volcanic Pepperbox) or is moreso used for Crowd Clear (Blitz Needle and Plague Needle). The range is a nice balance balance between single-target damage and Crowd damage. If you're often missing your shots, then perhaps turn on Auto-Target-- or if you're missing because the enemy likes to dodge out of your shots, then try turning Auto-Target off. Honestly, autogun charges are perfectly fine as they currently are, they have a high risk:reward factor that you need to understand in order to use them well.

That's a fair point. Neither

That's a fair point. Neither really needs a change per sae, but I figured i'd at least see what the community thought of it.
