I been stuck trying to get these things for the past year off and on I been on this game just trying to get THESE alone
I heard that you should go on depth 14 to 17 to get some and NONE have even dropped
My other guild mates say they get them all the time im surprised since it is rare for me to get them
Those are for Elite orbs.
Go in the third stratum (tier 2, before the Terminal), not the fourth.
And, as Dibs said, play on Elite or you have almost no chance of getting orbs.
Remember, they can only be found in prize boxes. Don't skip those unless they're behind energy gates.
I see that for Advanced Orbs of Alchemy you would need to go for depths 9-15, and Elite Orbs of Alchemy you would need to go higher. Are there any difficulty specifications?

Always play on Elite if you're Orb farming. On Normal you'll basically never see an Orb drop, on Advanced you'll sometimes see one in maybe 20 runs or so, while Elite pays them out like four times faster than Advanced does. There's probably some data on the exact (estimated) increase in drop rate but I'd have no idea where it is.

My advice is also to just buy them if they aren't dropping by the time you've afforded 4* recipes and then some. If you aren't at that point you haven't been going on enough runs per what the game requires. Yes, Spiral Knights is a grindfest. You don't even know the half of it.

A Stratum is a part of a tier in the Clockworks. There are TWO strata in every tier, which are separated by subtowns. The strata and possible themes are as follows:
Tier 1
Stratum 1 — Depth: 01-03
Stratum 2 — Depth: 05-07
Tier 2
Stratum 3 — Depth: 09-12
Stratum 4 — Depth: 14-17
Tier 3
Stratum 5 — Depth: 19-22
Stratum 6 — Depth: 24-28

Here's your first problem. Go for around Depths 9-15, above that usually yields Elite orbs.
Also, what difficulty are you playing at? If you're not playing on Elite, you're probably not going to get any orbs any time soon.
