Nope, no mas. No mas, no mas, no mas.
=================
Hi there probably-wonderful-diehard-forum-lurkers. This is a giveaway thread that does not involve discussing the game Spiral Knights, and I am not attempting to sell or buy or trade my junk for other people's junk. I am giving junk away provided that certain procedures are followed. So... that's why I posted this in Gremlin Chatter.
Now that that's clear--
GOT STEAM? Got some time to blow? Want some FREE STEAM KEYS?
YES, kinda, and YEHEAH?
Wonderful! Have some emotionless cookies made of steam-keys.
Over-complicated, mostly-immutable giveaway procedure:
Step 1) Post solely your Spiral Knights IGN and two integers from 1 to 48 (ONE to FORTY-EIGHT only pl0x, y muchas gracias). 1 and 48 are valid numbers to choose from.
Step 2) I will check back on this thread every now and then (once a day?), and you will receive mail to your posted IGN. The message will be untitled in the subject line, and the body of the message will include a Steam key corresponding to the first number you included in your forum post.
Step 3) To receive the second Steam key, request that one of your Spiral Knight friends with a Steam account send in-game mail to the dude that sent you your first Steam key. Your informed friend MUST include in the mailed message: the entire steam key (not case-sensitive) given to you.
Step 4) Once I have reviewed the mail sent following "Step 3" and find that the Steam key code in the message matches a Steam key that I have previously given away-- I will mail you a second Steam key corresponding to the second number you included in your forum post. I will also mail your friend from "Step 3" a random Steam key.
Anything not following the above procedures will produce probably nothing.
If you need a key to be mailed to you again, send me a letter so I can send you the key again. I have a spreadsheet to keep track of these things. ^u^
Restrictions and Stuff to consider:
- I have approximately 70 keys to give away. So, first come, first serve: once a number has been posted, I will disregard any further posts repeating that number. To illustrate, if the following two example posts were fo' real, I would ignore Post#42 completely because 48 was already claimed:
- Post#42: It's Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious 42 48
- Even though I have approximately 70 keys to give away, only integers 1 through 48 are valid to include in your post. Any other numbers will be ignored. So if for example, a user posted 7 and 57, I will regard that post as having claimed only the number 7. There is no key assigned outside the range of integers 1 through 48.
- If the steam key I mailed ya doesn't work, well, too bad.
- I will consider only the first valid post per IGN. To elaborate: if, following the steps on the giveaway procedure, person A makes a post to claim a pair of numbers and makes another post later down the thread to claim a different pair of numbers, I will only regard their first post claiming a pair of numbers and give them the keys corresponding to those numbers. If person A's friend (person B) from Step 3 decides to claim some keys on the thread and use person A for Step 3, that's totally fine. I'll send person A a key, too.
- The variety of games that will be given away are like a box of chocolates: you never know what you're gonna get, and who cares what they are really because CANDY.
- There is no method of investigating a Steam key to verify what game it would activate without actually activating the game product for an account. 'Very box-o'-chocolatesy.
- Once I do get back to check this thread and have no more Steam keys to give away, I will: announce in a new post that the opportunity for obtaining Steam keys would be then closed, graveyard this thread, and not be able to give away any more Steam keys.
- Game monetary values range from 4-25 USD. The mean of those values is ~12.14 and median is 10.

EDITS:
Oct 6, 3pm PST: I've removed the time restriction to claim numbers so that all/most of the poor, orphaned, spare game-keys will find a home. Once there are no more keys to give away and/or the giveaway is over, I will graveyard this thread. Also, I'll check back on this thread around 10pm-12am PST er'ryday now (hopefully) to update it and mail away more keys. ty, you guys are all wonderful people.
Oct 23, 12a PST: I seem to have not checked back in a very long while... Nice to see the Punkin' King's back.
