This idea's been spinning around my head for a while now.
Currently, the only areas in the game to have alternate themes are the Clockwork Tunnels, the Firestorm Citadel, the Scarlet Fortress, the Aurora Isle/Jigsaw Valley, and the Dark City/Concrete Jungle, and even then, the two latter use the same themes.
Basically, there should be alternate themes for every level in the game. The current themes are really good, don't get me wrong, but they get kinda repetitive after a while.
In the same vein, Lockdown and Blast Network could have alternate themes that have a random chance of playing during matches.
For the bosses, have each boss have their own remix of the boss theme. Vana could keep the current one, because of how it matches the atmosphere of the Firestorm Citadel. Roarmulus Twins could get a more electronic version, Royal Jelly could get a bouncy version, and Snarbolax could get a feral version.
For the Shadow Lairs, have the Swarm-infested levels have their current theme, but with parts of Shadow's Swarm inserted into them, and the bosses could get Swarm versions of their themes.
Really, that's all that I can think of for now. Feel free to add any/criticize me.
Alternate music.

Alt music would really liven up the game for sure... But personally I think shadow lair bosses should have this rendition of the boss music instead of the default ones.
And by "alternate themes", do you mean the difference between "ambient" and "action" songs? If so then yes that would be great. Keep in mind however that many levels simply use the status-theme to them if they don't have a predetermined song. I don't think we need to have an additional version of all of those themes.
As for lockdown and blast network, having various types of songs play would be nice, however they do have faster, alternative themes in the last minute of the game... However I just want them to loop properly because if players try to cheat the system by making an endless lockdown game the music has a hard start and end. The "boss" themes loop nicely despite the opening fanfare.
