Plasmatech Pride? I haven't played in two years due to a lack of computer, and I know the guild I created would've died by now, but I'm getting another computer soon and I plan to make a guild with the same name. Obviously, I can't if it's still around, but at this point I'm just plain curious to see if it still exists. Thanks in advance.
Has anyone ever heard of this guild called...
The game saves everything as you left it. You can even pick up your old knight from wherever you left him/her.
The only thing that might have changed is that your guild might be in default (that is, bankrupt). In that case, you have to decide whether saving that guild is worth the cost to emerge from default.
Keep in mind that there are already far too many guilds in the game. And running a guild is often not very pleasant, from what I've seen. So you might consider just joining some other guild that is active and fun. Good luck.
I created the guild, and as founder, I was naturally the top Guild Master. However, I ended up leaving the guild due to, let's say, leadership concerns (let's leave it at that for now). Very shortly thereafter, my computer broke so I couldn't keep tabs on the former guildmates even if I wanted to. Yeah, it's more than most likely in default right now, but that means that when I return, the people have probably stopped playing the game without leaving the guild. So long as there's at least one person in the guild, bankrupt, inactive player but still in the guild, or otherwise, I can't use that name. I also can't rejoin the guild if there's no one on.
And for the record, the guild's name is equivalent to my Spiral Knight's birthright. It's my name, the one I created, and if I indeed am able to use the name again it'll just be so I have it under my name. Not gonna make the mistake of reviving my guild a second time.
One last thing, the last time I returned to the game after a similar computer-breaking hiatus, I was still in my guild but I fired everyone before leaving it myself, ensuring I could use the name again. Literally no one was active, save for one guy who was apparently on the month before.
If there's still a member in it, inactive or not, the guild should metaphorically exist in a limbo of sorts.
My evidence of this is that I was the LAST member of a guild of a large number of people.
After being inactive for 3 or 4 years, I basically was the only lynchpin holding up the guild.
Then I left.
And then it fell into an imperial abyss which none shall climb out of and fade away as mist energy.
There my reason.
I was still in my guild but I fired everyone before leaving it myself, ensuring I could use the name again.
Why do this? Why destroy a guild (or a knight) and then quit the game? Why not just quit the game, leaving a dormant guild and knight, in case you want to come back someday?
This is the third time my computer broke, though that was two years ago. Anyways, that's what I'm most worried about, is that Plasmatech Pride is in limbo right now, with no way to reclaim the name as my own again.
If anyone does indeed see anyone who still bears Plasmatech Pride as a guild name (which I highly doubt), please let them know of this, and maybe even point them out to this forum post. Also let me know in the forum, of course.
I don't want my little piece of personal Spiral Knights history to fade, though if that's the case, better start thinking of a new name. Plasmatech Died? Meh, kinda has a ring to it. Rhymes with the old name too.
Did you leave the guild?
Was the guild active when you stopped playing?
It'll only stop existing if everyone, including you, leaves the guild.
