Honestly it has to, Opal is over, people are sick of prize boxes, no one knows what OOO dev is up to. The easiest thing to do would be to release the Dark Harvest today.

It generally starts a a couple weeks earlier because many humans tend to be busy at this time of year.
If they have a Halloween party on Friday, are booked at work/school Wednesday and Thursday and plan to spend time with family/friends on Halloween for the obvious reason that it is Halloween, farming for virtual candy in Spiral Knights on top of any other Halloween events going on, since every single game does this, might not make much of an appearance on their radar.

About 5 minutes ago it was announced an update for the game. It will be the Dark Harvest Festival or something like another promo?
