So here's something worth Discussing.

You know how every time you start a level, there's that gate that's meant to block incoming enemies?
Why is it that we can't pass through that in both directions?

I know we have had these moments, These times when you realize that you brought the wrong gear for the level and you can't switch it until you reach the end of the level. You could simply take about 5 or 6 steps back to Re arm yourself with the right tools for the job..but NOOOOOO.
That Force field has decided to on NOT letting you trough and instead, make you SUFFER through the WHOLE GOD DAMN LEVEL!

And not just that, sometimes we have been running on muscle memory that we have a Blank mind moment and forget to Feed our pets or Heat our weapons. And we ONLY remember that AFTER we pass through the gate!

WHY is that gate Even THERE?!?!

Its Not doing anything other than being Annoying!!

Remember, don't shoot food.

For the exact same reason that you're complaining about it.

@ Crazee

Well, I was kinda hoping for some kind of defense for it
otherwise im just gunna think it was simply a Dev's incompetence.

Is there really no other reason?

There's a few reasons.

1.) One-way is to prevent you from gate-scumming (get a monster horde to follow you, go back to gate to snipe enemies from around the gate).

2.) To encourage memorization, planning, and most of all, is a noob-killer. People would want to strive to not make the same mistakes, ergo, no more future nubbin'.

3.) Is actually not a big deal.

would let you switch gear

A two-way force field would let you return to switch gear from anywhere in the level (until you pass a party button). For example, you could change your gear to suit a danger room that you just found. That's probably more customization than the designers wanted.

Regardless of whether you agree with the design, it's clearly intentional. It's not a programming error caused by "a Dev's incompetence".

Well I had that feeling it

Well I had that feeling it was intentional.
I don't like it yes, but just wanted to be sure.

I'm a Wizard

Eh I'm not a stickler for massive planning but I use the two same weapons about every time.
So you might be thinking of adding a party button but I don't know why they didn't.
That's about all I have to say -_-

The reason they don't have a party button is so that people with less loading time in the party can get an early start without getting bored waiting for the computer perfomancally challenged members.
