I enjoyed the story very much. The writing was good, but the story had a kind of cookie-cutter storyline for a mystery novel. The only survivor from a massacre was the murderer, the lazy unorthodox guy solves the case, etcetera. However it is only your third attempt. Again, I enjoyed the story and look forward to more.
