algorithms are the solutions to any problem.
if you want to contact GMs and devs directly, try support.
that being said, the only answer you will get is no. even if it was to be closed soon, you don't want your players to go on a panic before you announce things.

Actually, we know it isn't. Aphrodite mentions 'several upcoming events'. 'Several upcoming events' don't sound like the game ending to me.

Not really. As long as they're logged into their Three Rings Support account they are typically on duty to respond to in-game issues players run into. When you see screenshots of them alongside other knights it's typically from a support request.
Now their civilian accounts for sure they go on runs with people. Whether or not they'd ever tell you what their username is in-game is more the issue there.

Do you think somebody is going to be up-in-arms over the new winterfest stuff? cause I've made the bet that there will be at least one person in the steam comments that's going to hate the entire thing no matter how good it is.

It's the steam forums, you could say "we've added workshop support, level editor, added 3 more servers worldwide, and removed the forge" and people would STILL be complaining.
